So then I'm happy if this means Lillie is going to the finale. Ellona up there is something I am happy with, too.

I didn't bother listening to any of the fake groups.

I like Lillie but did anyone else find her rendition of that song a bit odd and her dancing pretty bad?

I liked it. She cant dance, or she was very nervous to do both. She has a beautiful face. I am pleased for her.
I still like Tim, but I agreed with Simons critique of him

I don't look at Jeff Gutt as the rocker , I suppose he is . I just wish I knew who he sings like, it bugs me

I thought her performance was really strange and disjointed. I didn't care for it.

Why don't the mentors allow the contestants to have some say in what song they will sing?

Some of the mentors do, others don't. I really wish the mentors took the performers comfort level into account more than the show's production value when it comes to staging, dancers, etc. It seems like they are under pressure to add bells and whistles to every performance. But when you take someone like Jeff Gutt, whose always been a "stand on the stage and sing" type performer, and start throwing in crazy stage set ups, and telling him "after this verse, walk down here and do this" he starts thinking about movement so much it throws off his singing. I think the same was true last night for the group that is a couple whose names I can't remember right now. Build a performance off the singers strengths ... not trying to make the show seem flashy. The flash is producing subpar performances.

It was better when we had no dancers, and no flashing lights .But this show and others seem to think we love all this flash.

All that extra stuff detracts from the singers. Maybe that is the general idea LOL?
I agree with you that these extra bells and whistles are adversely affecting the performances. I would much rather just hear the contestants sing.
