Not impressed thus far. Seems like an Idol redo, with the finalists singing with famous singers.

Although I got a good laugh when the host called Alanis Morsiette "Alice" He is so done after this season.

Order is: Josh, Chris than Melanie.

I have no clue what the song was that Josh or Chris sang. Josh seemed very nervous. Sang with Alanis Morsiette. I missed the name of whom Chris sang with.

Dang, even Melanie is sounding flat.

I think they are very nervous.

This whole format is leaving me unemotional. While I like Melanie and Josh I am afraid that Chris is going to win because of his "back story" and how they keep harping on it.

Chris will win this. I'm certain of it. So proud of him. Eight months clean so far and now this. All the best to him. He deserves it.

^^^^^ I like that too. A good voice is just that, but there is a componant to the back story. And I will say that I have NEVER been one to fall for that. We all have a story to tell. I have one. And some of us here can top his. For whatever reason I connected. I just did.

Just starting to watch now....Is it just me or is the sound a bit messed up tonight. Sounds like the judges and the host are speaking into a tin can rather than mics...and I could barely hear Alanis and Josh because of the crowd noise.... audience noise is so much worse tonight...I could at least hear the singers before. Not looking forward to this for the rest of the show....

Melanie did her best Beyonce impersonation tonight. She doesn't resonate with me in the least. And no, I don't think she should win based on that performance. If I remember correctly, Simon said in an interview way back when, that the X-Factor was going to be a show based on a winner who was a triple threat, i.e., singing talent, musicality, and performance skills and connecting with the audience. Both Josh and Chris have all these traits.

Just because in Melanie's case she screamed the loudest tonight, doesn't mean she win.
