Th timing of the announcement are just so annoying...Does the host pause dramatically until the producer counts down the time in his earpiece and then the announcement can be mad?? If he took less long to announce the name, then the judges would have more time to make their comments...babbling as some of them maybe.

Also in keeping with EVERYTHING being over the top in this show, keeping the kids until the end "in no particular order" has to be because they were hoping for the tears....and they got the drama. All three of the youngsters were in tears as they waited and waited. Of course Astro really was worth the price of admission...glad I caught all that.

He has a producer coming through his ear piece telling him to move it along. Judges can get long winded and they have a live show that has to end on time.

It wasn't so bad last night, but I agree, he has to move the show along. I think Simon made the right choice, Stacey still reminds me of Diana Ross, and I am sure someone will sign her

It looked like he was going to. He ended up saying he only kept Astro because he has a better chance to win this. I don't think he does anymore. People will turn on him, unless he does something mega next week that shows a lot of humility.

I am betting that L.A. (and possibly Simon)..will give him a royal chewing out this week and he will come out next week sucking up to America. ( I was truly hoping that Simon was going to send the lil' brat home!..). For me the sad part is it will reinforce Astro's sense of "Entitlement Ego"...

When he was in tears, I realized that he was afraid, thats what this was all about.Rachael ( and Drew) were crying to.They are very young, they have been told they have a gift, and they do. But in the end , they are still just kids

While Astro's behavior wasn't ideal, much of it has been encouraged by all the judges, especially Simon. He has told Astro that he has a great attitude, confidence and swagger, so what is the guy supposed to do but think he's the man. The producers and coaches should prepare those kids, just in case they go home. Building them up as great is fine, but they have to be prepared for the let down.

That is the shameful part, the push for drama and tears.....and their parents.....yea.....I think so when you put your kid out there at such a young age.

I think that Simon did exactly the right thing given the choice. Stacy was one of the weaker performers left in the competition. Several have falled into the trap of doing the same thing every week, she's one of them, and she has not be doing it well. She wasn't going to win, and wasn't improving. Astro acted like a brat, and hurt his image quite a bit. I think that LA and Simon were talking to him like they were publicly to get the message through to him. A kid that age may be humbled from that experience and turn things around, or may not. By keeping him around, Simon gave him time to show whether or not he can grow from the adversity. If he does, America will see it. If he does not, America will see that too, he'll be in the bottom two again next week, and they can do what was almost done this week. Good call.
