Hmmm, X is imitating AI tonight and sending the contestants to a movie premiere. Why is that these are movies I'm never particularly interested in seeing?

Staci belting it out like a diva. Is it just me, or does her voice not have very tonal quality? It sounds like she is shouting more than she is singing.

Gawd how I've always hated that song by Whitney Houston - by far her worst song ever. No real melody, just shouting all the way through. I don't even think Whitney herself sings that horrible song well. Stacie sounded equally screachy and shouty. Not Stacie's best performance by any means.

Marcus tore that one to shreds...and I mean that in GOOD way.

IMO, Drew, Josh or Melanie are the only ones that have the chops to win it... although Chris and Astro are growing on me.

Glad I'm not the only one. I also liked how Simon criticized her dress; he was spot-on as usual.

Marcus up now. Yawn. Trying to do Motown (?) but sounds like karaoke. You needed sunglasses to watch him with that glitter jacket he was wearing. And it looked he and that jacket were fighting as he tried to wrestle it off.

Loved Drew's performance, but I do agree with LA. Her performances are starting to sound the same every week.

Meh Stacy performance. Loved Marcus. Drew was ok, but didn't blow me away.

Drew up now. How in the heck can Simon criticize another judge's choice of costume when he put Drew in this trainwreck? It looks like somebody's scrap bag exploded, and pink-and-blue hair? Really? Note: Paula fusses about the outfit, saying that it detracted from the seriousness of the song. Never thought I'd agree with Paula! Simon says Drew designed it and it's wonderful. He compares her to Lady Gaga. Er, Simon, to me that's not a compliment.

LA says she sounds the same every week. Totally agree. She puts me to sleep every week. And was that warbling deliberate?
