CBS Dumps "The Will"
The following tidbit of information was included in the Programming Insider column on the website www.mediaweek.com today (11/12)...
-Another One-Episode Wonder:
After just one telecast, CBS has pulled the plug on reality series The Will, which debuted with a paltry (and last-place) 4.24 million viewers from 8-9:30 p.m. last Saturday. Other one-episode wonders historically include You're in the Picture (CBS: Jan. 20, 1961 - with Jackie Gleason), Turn-On (ABC: Feb. 5, 1969) and Co-Ed Fever (CBS: Feb. 4, 1979).
A quick visit to www.cbs.com confirms that the network will substitute a repeat (or "encore") episode of "Cold Case" on Saturday, January 15.
With the recent criticism leveled on NBC and Fox about pulling reality series before they are through (i.e. "Last Comic Standing", "Obnoxious Boss", "Playing it Straight"), apparantly CBS has the quickest trigger finger.
Website is still up and linked from the the main page. Where is the link at mediaweek?
A search on the site brought up nothing.
Are you kidding?? It just aired! No more Enycaps?? :sad
Nevermind I found it . Great stuff !!! . I think that's a record. :yay
I hope someone can at least find out the order of elimination and who won.
No way! I really liked the show and really liked hating Penny. Man this sucks!
No way!! OMG that is too funny!! I watched the premiere, and sure, it was a train wreck, alright, but any more than Surreal Life or Simple Life? I think not.
From this post:
Maybe Penny is suing the producers for making her look bad, as she told them not to when she agreed to do the show, eh? There certainly were no redeeming qualities portrayed of her on the one episode which did air... :)
In real life, Penny is a little worried about her TV persona.
"You can't make me be evil," she told producers before taping began. "I have to go back to Scottsdale. People will spit on me at AJ's."
Hey, isn't Scottsdale, AZ where all of those crazy people from Paradise Hotel were from?
Why do networks even bother with Saturday night programming?
