The UK version of Wife Swap is strugling in the ratings, attracting less than 3 million viewers on it's latest outings - half the number watching last year.

The main cause of the loss of ratings is two programmes from the BBC squeezing both ends of Wife Swaps fan base.

Who Do You Think They Are? on BBC2 attracts 5m viewers following a celebrity each week tracing their family tree.

Meanwhile, the brilliant Little Britain on BBC3, a comic sketch show looking at life in Britain, has attracted record audiences of 1.5m to the little watched digital station for it's second series.

Last night the show had tougher competition than usual due to the National TV Awards on ITV1. However, Wife Swap did walk away with MOST POPULAR FACTUAL PROGRAMME, while Big Brother scooped MOST POPULAR REALITY SHOW. Little Britain was most popular comedy programme.
