He might have an interesting personality/presence but I don't see how being a hairstylist and make-up artist qualifies you to judge food, decorating, sewing, and woodworking.
My memory is failing in my old age, apparently.Originally Posted by Krom

Balding male haristylists have to do something, though. Look at Jose whatisname and his cowboy hat. I've always assumed he was balding under there.Originally Posted by Broadway
What I don't get is what relevance hair and fashion has to decorating and cooking. I suppose the idea is that he just has a general sense of style and access to high-fashion individuals. And most of the real style mavens would be annointing their competition--not likely!![]()
Is he any relation to Linda Evangelista?

I do not like this guy. As with everything else about him, he takes the criticizing way over the top. He acted like was too good to even be there, and even when other people were happy (like with the scallops) he couldn't let go and be a decent person for one second. Nast nasty nasty. Mr. Clean needs to go away.

I like him. I like him on Style Court and I like him on Wickedly Perfect. Now, Candy and Baby Bobby I could do without. Candy's book bored me and Bobby's Iron Chef tantrum spoke volumes about him.

Anyone else getting this guy confused with E's Fashion Police Robert Verdi???
I spent the first 4 weeks of this show thinking they were the same person!!

I only know Robert Verdi from Discovery's "Surprise by Design", where he was so hilariously entertaining, I watched the show for HIM instead of room decor ideas! Fantastic sense of humor in my opinion. He is way more flamboyant than David Evangelista. However, they do look similar so I can see where you are coming from!Originally Posted by RuskyBiz
I think David Evangelista is so...picky! I mean, the judges as a whole don't like anything! They look at the individual projects and say "that one is juvenile, that one looks like it's for a funeral, that one has feathers, I hate feathers" etc etc!
I mean, not everyone will like everything...but that doesn't mean everyone else will hate it as well! One man's trash is another's treasure.
Not sure how Rosie O'Donnel's hairdresser comes to be an icon of fashion let alone over all good taste....and so far his comments on the show have been picky and petty....and yet I think he isn't the most clueless judge of the bunch.....Candy earned that title early on..
