We'll just have to agree to disagree. I will never be convinced that it's healthy for a baby and young child to be shoved off onto somebody else while their parent leaves for several weeks, all in order to *maybe* win some show. And then *maybe* make it big. Considering the lousy track record this show has with its winners, that by no means a guarantee.

And even if she does win, you will never convince me that subjecting children to the whole Hollywood lifestyle is healthy, either. As I said above, my cousin's husband was gone 90% of the time with his band, and their marriage was on the rocks. That's why he decided he'd rather be ordinary and content rather than famous and sacrificing his family.

Oh, I totally agree about the track record of this show. It's very suspect, IMO. I'm not sure how the judges seem so excited to make someone a star, when they have very little to actually brag about. That's why I'm curious as to what is going on with last season's winner. I like the show, but their credibility is quite thin. It's becoming too hard to swallow.

It's really about exposure I guess. Even if you win and don't get so much from The Voice, perhaps the exposure will help you get a good deal somewhere. Whether it's worth the sacrifice of being away from your kids for a few weeks, I don't know. Sometimes you have to weigh the risks.

And, I also agree with you on the risks and dangers of Hollywood life. It seems to be rather negative from much of what we see in the news. I guess you have to weigh the risks and decide if it's worth it. Some artists don't live in NY or CA. They find homes in rural areas or small towns and then just travel when they have to for their career.

Just wanted to show that I'm not just bashing my own sex. Every season we have a male contestant who says "I'd like to thank my family for all the sacrifices they've made so I could pursue my dream." And I always want to shake them and say, "Maybe instead of sacrificing, they would rather have had their husband/father around." I'm not going to lie; they often have great voices. And many times I enjoy listening to them. But I always feel sorry for the patient family back in the wings, waiting...and waiting...

12 artists go into battle tonight and the show is only an hour long. They're sure going to have a lot to cram in for the next 60 min.

These two are evenly matched, imo.

    Adam goes with Warren.

Hmmm I think I would have been ok either way.

    No one steals Michael.

    Team Usher

Jeff Lewis vs. Josiah Hawley- "Roxanne"

Jeff's pre-battle rehearsals are not going well. and his nervous chuckle gets called on by Usher. I'd be afraid too!

Noo I liked Michael. But I like Warren too so it would have sucked to lose either of them.
