I was way startled that Blake chose Patrick, but then I realized that he's looking for the ONE that can go all the way - and that means gather a following of home voters, etc. Patrick has that "All American Country Boy" look and voice - I predict he'll garner a TON more votes than Tyler in the same situation. It's all about circumstances.

Personally, I think Tyler gave a better performance, and I bet we'll be seeing more of him soon, elsewhere.

I don't think he did. Casey is on another team entirely & she went up against a guy.

This time Blake made the correct choice. I think his guy has a shot to be around for a while.

I like Blake less and less every week. What is the opposite of an elitist? He doesn't seem to be interested in anything that isn't country. I also think he doesn't like singers who attempt to do what he cannot do himself. I don't think he is the right pick for this show.

The antonym of elitist would be egalitarian, but that is irrelevant. He is an elitist in that he doesn't appear to think anyone not country is of any value. Ergo, country singers are the elite in his eyes.
