He did pick a screeching song. It strikes me that the judges have a advantage in this show. They are facing the audience in this. So they can see how the audience is getting into the performance in addition to hearing the contestants. Interesting.

Gwen, at 37, is saying that she is choosing music versus having kids. A very personal journey. I'm not so sure that I agree with that choice (based purely on how much I'm not blown over by her voice).
