I think this is improv. 1. Minister and gay man go at it in the first episode immediately eliminating them from the $$ which is why they are there. Their arguments were too hot and fast and nothing more than posturing. Not believable. It was so obviously staged I laughed out loud. 2. 1st episode a woman wants to leave, another is shocked there are no windows, most are freaking to some degree. Nope. Not buying that either. They signed on for this and knew the deal. 3. The point would be to get everyone to like you so you could win the money. No one has done this other than Steve and he really did nothing. 4. They think the worst secret is to have done a stint in a mental hospital but illegally declaring bankruptcy is okay? Nope, they needed a psycho and again got a lousy actor to play that role. 5. Now the minister wants to leave. Riiiiiiiight. We may be surprized to find that part of this show turns out to be exposing the actors. It could be part of the deal. That is the only thing that would make sense in this poor effort.

I'm sure we'll hear this in a few weeks- Announcer: 'An ending so shocking, you have to see it to belive it!' And they'll tell us its been ACTORS this whole time except for one 'schmoe', who will get the million bucks. We'll be like, 'Yup, called that after the first episode' What a stupid show................

I was not even aware this show was on until I happened to be channel surfing Wednesday night. Having missed the first show I wan't sure how to interpret the behavior of the "cast" of characters. I thought it was pretty hokey and will probably not bother following it. Good points from some of you, it does remind me of Joe Schmoe which I only watched a few episodes and then forgot about.

I keep forgetting to watch so I haven't been back in awhile! But I totally, TOTALLY agree. And agree with Singing With Clay, too. Some of these people are REALLY bad actors. It all reminds me of bad improv I have done in acting classes. And seems to me that it is directed the same way. "Remember, charlie9, your MOTIVATION is to get the money. Your CHARACTER is the religious minister. Your ANTAGONIST is the gay guy. Let the CONFLICT take center stage. CONFLICT is ACTING. ACTING is REACTING." I don't mind if the "twist" is that they are actors working off an "unscripted" improv set of circumstances and directions - which is what I've been expecting - but I just hope it's played out in a more dramatic and interesting way than we've seen so far. I can't really get a sense of what they are driving at here and so far many of the reactions seem unnatural to me. It is missing the real emotional punch that we like in reality TV shows, to me.

Well, I typed in 'unam1mous scripted' to satisfy my suspecion of whether this show was fake, and ended up finding this site ![]() This show reminds me a lot of that one other Fox 'reality' show, where they were filming the Golden Nugget casino owner's.

Welcome Mad Hatter! ![]() Hope you stick around. We've got lots of better shows to discuss here. ![]() I'm trying to figure out what the purpose would be to have a fake reality show. With shows like "Joe Schmo" and "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance" someone was being conned, but the audience was in on it. So when the reveal happened, we got to see the reactions of those being punk'd. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't have a TV camera in my house. So if I find out that the audience is being conned, nobody will see my reaction. Where's the payoff? What's the point?
