Did anyone else catch what Hippie Dad said when showing Vickie the kitchen? It sounded something like "This is where you'll do your work". Sort of like - keep 'em home, barefoot (literally) and pregnant? Though, as respects the pregnant thing - I'm praying for immaculate conception because I DON'T want to think about "whoopie" in the communal bedroom....

If any of you clicked the link to the Ca family's website, you'd find out there are links to each son's websites as well. On each website there are also links to blogs.
I suggest you read them and you'll find out rather quickly, that the family who seems to be so "earthy" are quite modern. The kids themselves spend a nice chunk of money OFTEN on computer related items, as in the oldest kid's blog he seemed to be upgrading his pc every week at radio shack. Well, at least in between having to go stand out on the mall lawn and play music for money a lot. Hmmmm. Lots of interesting information. I also might note, he rarely refers to his mother in his blog.

Oh, could you tell us a little of what they were saying? I'm assuming the waiter was asking them where they learned Chinese from and they began to tell him about Taoism.

Am I right?

I think they were saying the names of the dishes that was on the menu out loud. The dad mispronouced 'beer'. Then the older son (Luke, I think) corrected him with the correct pronunciation.

Can someone tell me when episode 2 will be airing....I assumed this coming monday, but there's no mention of it in the tv guide
