| No. No, he's really not the next Tim Gunn. There's just something about Tim. I can't describe it, but that something just makes Tim eternally likeable. I didn't get that same feeling from Todd. In fact, he seemed a little cold and distant. |

| Not in this lifetime. I don't think he is a good host and his voice is highly irritating. His interaction with the contestants was nothing like Tim's either.

| Blasphemy!!! They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. Tim Gunn is the epitome of style and grace.

| NO! Gracious me. The fact that someone even posed this question is jarring. |

I was coming to say the same thing.Nobody can replicate the Gunn. Shame on TV Guide. Triple emphasis on the shame.

| I finally was just able to see Top Design for the first time. I thought Todd was very annoying the way he spoke. It seemed to me that it might just be nerves. I hope his nerves settle down before too long! |

| I'm going to cut him some slack and see if he gets better before making a decision. I hope some of the problem was that, since it was the first show, he had a lot of "speeches" to make. If they can get him down to a sentence or two, it would be helpful. His voice has an odd quality, but I think what bugged me was the tone. Tim Gunn speaks like a grown-up talking to other grown-ups. His tone and his vocabulary are both professional and engaging. Todd sounded like he was trying to calm a rambunctious group of kindergartners! I kept expecting to hear him say, "Now boys and girls, it's storytime ...." I find this to be rather off-putting. I haven't seen the other shows he's done--was it the same? |

| I have moments of maturity ... balanced by impatience! Maybe Tim is too high a standard. Really, who can match him? |
