On rewatching, I did notice a use of lamps in ep. 1, but they were placed more as one would place vases for decoration rather than with any thought to actual lighting function. However, there was better use of lighting in ep. 2, especially in the "Hollywood glam" room with the round lights integrated into the wall panels. Other designs seemed to make more practical use of lamps and lighting in this episode as well.

However, the sooner they lose the diorama format and get into real rooms with four walls and ceilings, the happier I'll be. Many of the designs would be downright suffocating in a completely enclosed space.
