| Re: Top Chef 3 VS Top Chef 4 I don't think there's any chance of S4 beating out S3. Hung, Malarky, Dale, Tre, Joey all took chances. CJ, Howie, both Sara(h)'s were more along the line of traditional like Lisa. The only ones who really took chances were Stephanie, Richard, Dale, & Andrew. I mean Antonia won for making a stir fry & Nikki almost won the same challenge for her pot roast. And Spike almost won for making SOUP! The cheftestant on S4 also had a major seasoning problem. Even in the finale there were no "decadent" or "3 star Michelin" remarks. The judges only really loved two: Lisa's soup & Stephanie's lamb. But if they did have a S3 vs. S4, I'd like to see Tre, Hung, Casey & Dale go against Richard, Dale, Stephanie & Andrew. |

| Re: Top Chef 3 VS Top Chef 4 I actually think S4 contestants are better. Casey was meh ... Only Dale S3 interested me. Hung I admit is good. I liked Antonia and Stephanie and of course Richard a lot from S4. I think they have a great shot at beating previous contestants, any team up against these 3, to me, would be fun to watch. |

| Re: Top Chef 3 VS Top Chef 4 That's okay that you disagree. I can be magnanimous since you'd lose. ![]() S4 had major seasoning problems all throughout. They also (exception Richard, Dale, Stephanie & Andrew) made fairly simple dishes. Even Micah's terrible meatloaf was different and not another spagetti & soup or pot roast dinner. I've made several of the S3 dishes and loved all those I've done, but most required some prep work. I can whip off a bruchetta, blini, creamed spinach, or stir fry (for example) in minutes. |

For the finalists, I think Casey was a cut above Antonia (and they had similar approaches, I think) and Hung either equal or a small cut above Stephanie. I think Richard was the most innovative of all the chefs - perhaps in all the seasons. He just wasn't consistent.....Lisa just didn't belong at all. | |
