At only 17, she attended Johnson & Wales University and received a B.S. in foodservice management. She moved to south Florida to diversify her cooking palette, absorbing the local flair of Latin food. With Asian cuisine still in her heart, Lisa moved back to New York to get involved with more Asian restaurants, working at Asia de Cuba, Rain and then Public. Lisa says she always exercises Asian flair in her dishes and has taught herself as much as she can about the cuisine. | Re: Lisa - Season 4 Okay, this is only the 3rd profile I have looked at, and it is the second one mentioning lamb with strawberry and rhubarb. I am not a fan of lamb and this combination is grossing me out, so I am going to try and trust that it tastes better than it sounds to me!!! |

| Re: Lisa - Season 4 rhubarb is a spring food, to be sure, but a lot of contestants seem hung up on lamb. I'm sure they didn't know so many other contestants were also going that route. I'd love to learn what traditional spring food would be in some Asian cultures, as that seems to be part of her culinary background. Another contestant also works at Public in NYC - is that an advantage or disadvantage to have someone else on the show from the same restaurant? ETA it's Mark, the New Zealander who is working at Public. Any New Yorkers - how big is that place? Would they know each other? I would think so, but what do I know.
