There is a more complete quote about bloggers in this article: Lisa Fernandes is last New Yorker standing on 'Top Chef'

The part I really luv is when she mentions how at the Bravo A-list awards people were coming up to her and saying how much they liked her and didn't think she was bitchy at all and just had a strong personality and wanted her to win. After reading that I was thinking is this woman delusional or just hearing voices and seeing hallucinations or all three.

For every person on the show, every person has a character that they fall into. And they needed a villain, and they made me the villain, and you know what, it's fine, 'cause I got tons of air time, people recognize me, and you know, last night at the A-List Awards and at the after-party, everybody that came up to me – which was, like, a lot of people – loved me for my attitude and being firm and strong about my beliefs and my food. And you know, they liked me as a person, and everybody told me they loved me as a chef and that they're rooting for me to win. [Some people] didn't even think I come across as bitchy. I just come across as a strong personality ... I'm the first person to say that I have a strong personality and that's just me.
Can't believe she is using the "they edited me a villan" excuse.

C'mon Bearcata, did you not see the whopping 4% that wanted her to win I especially enjoyed the hogwash about her being able to take critisism. It ranks right up there with "the dog ate my homework". Bad cook and horrible personality.

Must have missed that thought it was only 3%.

Most people are surprised that she's made it this far—the finals of this season of Top Chef—what with her back-stabbing and pettiness. Everybody seems to hate her; bloggers don't seem to be fans; commenters everywhere seem to generally despise her. Maybe Bravo's producers painted her as the villain, but when asked by the New York Daily News if she's read the reactions online, Top Chef contestant Lisa Fernandes responded:

"Oh no, I don't read the blogs – you couldn't pay me to read the blogs. I don't want to know what people who can't even afford to eat in my restaurant, let alone know how to cook have to say about me, and the few comments I did read on Eater.com a few weeks back because my job asked me to read 'em. The best they could come up with was that I was ugly."

I can afford to eat in her restaurant, and you couldn't pay me to go there. How could anything truly taste good coming from such a soulless troll?

I think by this statement in bold alone, Lisa proved what people have been trying to say on these forums or on blogs all along: Her attitude stinks. This is the way she acts, and that's it. Thanks for squaring it off for us Lisa. You can go now.

I don't think you will find a single person willing to pay big money for bacon- which was her only winning dish. Newsflash Lisa, when people pay alot of money for food, they expect it to be very good-not the crap you make.

WoW. I thought she was gonna win for a few minutes there. She did really good. I never was off-put by Lisa. Probably because I also watch Hell's Kitchen, and I'm use to sucky attitudes and filthy mouths. Not to mention there were, and still are, a few contestants on Hell's Kitchen that IMO are so gross, they made Lisa look like freakin' Cinderella.

Re: Lisa - Season 4

I don't mind Lisa. While she does suffer from foot-in-mouth from time to time, there is something innocent and harmless about her. She strikes me as a bit lonely in the world and doesn't quite know how to fit in. All she needs to do though, is let down her guard and be vulnerable and she'd do just fine.

Re: Lisa - Season 4

I can only hope that tonight we get to the bottom of the burnt rice episode. I can see Spike playing with the burner or Andrew, but I really think Lisa did it herself when she was rushed. Even if the rice had been cooked right, I'm not that into raw shrimp. (mr. gracie is, but not me). Anyway, tonight's show should be fun.
