Publication:The New York Sun; Date:Oct 1, 2003 - Sam Talbot

Here's a 2003 article about a much younger looking Sam:

http://daily.nysun.com/Repository/ge.../01&ID=Ar01901

There's a picture of him, but I'm too tech-challenged to paste it here.

Here's another about his having a push cart:

Enjoy!

And, sometimes, it doesn't come easy, and ya' just have to work at it. Marcel needs to learn this lesson.

In the meantime, I liked Betty in the beginning. I also really like her style of cooking. However, she turned out to be somewhat of a bully. Weak. She let Marcel get under her skin, and from there, it was a slippery slope for everyone else to follow suit.
Yeah I hear you on Betty, she was one of my favorites and I was rooting for her at first but then she just snapped and became insane almost. My point about Sam is that why did he have to join the bandwagon? I don't think someone's personality should turn you to violence and hatred, that's unstable. Marcel's "cockiness" was not even an issue, I never even noticed it until they targeted him and then I started to feel bad and let me tell you, scared for the guy, I thought Cliff and Sam were going to really egg Frank on to hurt him over something he didn't even do.

Well, last year was so much better, at least there were a few you could root for, I don't think Marcel or Elia are exactly "top chef" material, but Sam has left a bad taste in my mouth with his bullying (yes pun intended )

He only has one expression on his face all the time regardless of his emotion. It kinda creeps me out.

I think Sam is reserved and a bit shy, which is why his expression does not change much. I don't hold this against him. I know many people who are very sweet and kind, but just have trouble expressing their emotions.

Where does Sam work?

Does anyone know where in NYC Sam works as Exec Chef? I live in nyc, so I am extra curious. I tried to look it up online, but all I could find about him was something from a 3 years ago about him working as a hotdog vendor? It won't let me post the link b/c Im new, but roses4me already posted it anyway I think.

I had the same problem, too, grace, and, yes, I did post two article links about Sam a few years ago. Info on all of them is sketchy. Last year's bunch had a lot of stuff on the web before the show was over!

Welcome to FORT, a lot of nice folks hang out here.

I saw the name of the restaurant that Sam worked at in an interview but I forget the name of the place. It doesn't matter, though, as Sam is currently unemployed.

Sam is not the hotdog vendor guy. Sam even addresses this on his myspace profile:

Under "ABOUT ME."
