FAVORITE SIMPLE RECIPE: For summer: Berries with balsamic, honey, mint, basil and tart yogurt. For spring: Fresh pasta with fresh morels sautéed in butter and white wine.

BIO: Patrick is currently a student at the Culinary Institute of America. With an inherent love for cooking, he was inspired as a child by his mother and grandmother and today by food writer Michael Pollan. Patrick has always had a love for the arts, both performing and visual and tries to incorporate them into every dish he creates. With ingredients as his medium of art, he is inspired by quality and freshness and enjoys making fresh vegetable dishes like succotash, pisto and ratatouille. He has a passion for sustainable agriculture and hopes to educate and promote support for local farmers and growers.

LOL...I had the same thought. I don't know why Spike popped into my head when I saw him, but I'll give the kid a chance.

BTW...there are a ton of native new yorkers this time. Just an observation.

Aw, he was a cutie. It's sad to see him leave so soon, but he is still a student. He has years to go before he can reach the skill level of some of the other chefs.

Im so happy he is gone. He does not deserve to be on the show, he is still a student and not a chef. I hope the producers wont be casting anymore students. The show is called Top Chef after all.

He was so adorable. As much as I hate to admit, he really was out of his league. He still has years ahead of him and I think he will end up just fine.

He seems like a really great kid. Too bad he had to leave. Still, to make it on the show is a huge accomplishment, so kudos to him!
