Does anyone have the CORRECT recipe for Fabio's tiramisu that he made on GMA back in early August. The GMA website lists the ingredients below. I'm not disputing that those are the right ingredients, but the AMOUNTS seem to be waaaaaaaay off.
5 lbs. mascarpone cheese
12 egg yolks
11 oz. sugar
1 quart heavy cream
4 cups espresso or very strong coffee, cooled
3 packages of lady fingers
FIVE POUNDS of mascarpone, a DOZEN eggs and FOUR cups of espresso???
It's supposed to serve 4 . . . . . this sounds more like a recipe for 40!

Television - News - Bravo developing three spinoff shows - Digital Spy
Bravo has announced that it plans to develop spinoffs of three of its shows.
"The network has developed new vehicles for reality stars Christian Siriano, Bethenny Frankel and Fabio Viviani, Variety reports.
The trio will headline shows that will centre on their lives and careers, said Bravo's executive vice president Frances Berwick.

Meanwhile, Top Chef season five finalist Viviani and business partner Jacopo Falleni will attempt to expand their restaurant business in Fabio: A Catered Affair."

I understand, to some extent, the fascination with Fabio. Americans love accents and a lot of women have the hots for him. But really, once you get past the snare drum one-liners, there's not much there. Has anyone seen his Top Chef Masters web clips?Yawn!
We'll have to see, but honestly, an hour of Bethany Frankel may be just too much. I like Fabio, but I agree that an hour of just him may be too much, too.
The only show I can see eating up a full hour is Christian's.
Oh, I can see Fabio pulling off an entertaining show without a doubt. His wit is keen and delivery delightful! Christian will probably fall flat just because he is not comfortable being on camera. He was on the TV guide channel dishing Emmy fashions and it was painful to watch his affected way of expressing himself in this venue.
Funny, I think the opposite will happen. Fabio's "broken English" shtick (which I think he plays up) will eventually cease to be adorable, and I wonder if his life will be all that interesting to watch for a long periods of time. Will the show be about his legal battles with his father-in-law? I don't know if that would be much fun.
Christian is never at a loss for words when he is in his environment. When he is is a forced situation like a red carpet show or Ugly Betty, he's not as interesting. But when the rest of us are in his world, he's the Christian we saw on PR, which I find entertaining.
Chris March's show will be 10 times better than either of them, anyway.![]()

I was wondering why Fabio's show on Bravo never came to be. According to this article, the show was a victim of Chef Academy's poor showing. Bummer.
"OTHER efforts, like the cooking show “Chef Academy,” have been less successful, in part, says Ms. Berwick of Bravo, because the audience was unfamiliar with the star — a European chef — and because it deviated from Bravo’s standard format, leaving viewers confused about whether it was a “Top Chef”-like competition or a reality show about the chef.
Some projects never get off the ground. Fabio Viviani, a charismatic Italian cook who was a fan favorite on “Top Chef,” was a potential Bravolebrity, but a program featuring him as a caterer was abandoned because of the “Chef Academy” problems."

Glad Fabio did not get his own show. He thinks too much of himself. Bravo probably couldn't work out a deal with his ego.
I didn't think Fabio had an ego at all -- that was his buddy Stefan.![]()
I don't get Bravo's thinking -- of course Chef Academy wasn't going to work, because it was a tired concept, and the chef they picked to star in it had zero charisma. But Fabio is a known Bravolebrity, with a popular following. A show with him and Chef Academy would seem like apples and oranges to me.
