Thanks for the updates ahead of time from the west coasters.
What's the QF challenge?![]()
The quickfire challenge was to make a dish out of leftovers, mainly some difficult-to-cook meats like sweetbreads, kidneys, oxtails, tongue, etc.Originally Posted by roses4me;2143598;
Where is everyone tonight?
Yuck, those "leftovers" make me squirm.
I don't know where everyone is, perhaps the bad weather has cut off the power?
Wow, the thread is really dead tonight.
Guys, Marisa is gone!!! It's time to celebrate!!!!!
I'm really sorry that Josie is gone too. Being friend with Marisa was her downfall.
I'll miss you Josie!
I was very pleased with the double elimination tonight....Marisa with her silly faces during judging, I haven't liked since the lychee incident....and Josie was arrogant and had nothing to back it up, she talked about all this potential but if I remember correctly, she has consistently been in the middle the entire competition...good riddence
Neither were interesting to watch as people or as chefs. They were the right two to go.
Wow!! I was expecting a double elimination, especially after they paired the chefs tonight. Marissa, I'm ok with going... but Josie.. no!!! I realize she never quite had a chance to shine, but I think she was a scapegoat for last week's non-elimination. They could just have easily picked two losers, each from a different team.
On the bright side, I'm happy for Ilan!
"I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier." The Killers.
I'm glad Sam and Mia didn't win for their tattling last week. I was worried Betty was going to be sent home (I'm still a fan!) but the judges saw the light and sent two annoying contestants home. I'm glad they had the double elimination.
The QF made me cringe. Those animal body parts were gross, although my parents were raised on that kind of food. "On the farm, nothing goes to waste." I grew up hearing those words. EEK!
I cannot express how happy I am that Marissa is gone. That girl made me look like an Iron Chef, for crissake. I was growing tired of Josie, but I wouldn't have minded if her & her mullet hung around for another few episodes. But truth be told, none of their dishes really sounded all that great, especially the winning dish. Maybe it's because the idea of paella really just goes back to that Seinfeld episode where George's mother made all that paella and Helen & Marty won't come over for dinner.![]()
