I've been thinking Richard, Stepanie and Antonia for much of the season (Actually I waffled between Richard and Dale--but I just didn't like Dale)
I'd hate to see Lisa slide in at the end and knock out one of my favorites!

The spoilers go from one end to the other. Antonia beating out Richard and Steph was a little hard to believe, even though she is good. Lisa beating out Antonia is impossible to believe. Hate to see her get knocked out by Lisa but no way will she best Steph or Richard for F2. I like Steph, Antonia and Richard but no matter who gets knocked out, only 1 can win of those 3. I'm thinknig it's going to be a real tight race between Richard and Stephanie

They've done both.. so you never know.
Also, even if they did a F3 then at the final table when they announce the winner they could immediately go ahead and tell someone they are not the winner and voila..we have a F2.

I can't see Antonia winning. She has good solid comfy food skills but she doesn't take risks and her seasoning can be off some times. Lisa should not be there. Richard is good but he doesn't pay attention to details in his prep work. Last week was the second time his clams were grainy and they had to wash them all over again. I love Stephanie and was worried about her nerves and how at one challenge she made weird ingredient choices on the fly. But I think it her to lose. And Illan was the worst winner ever. Tom said because it was the best final meal but this show is not the food network challenge, it's about the best cook over a period of time.

Dale should be in the final four instead of Lisa. Lisa is a lousy person and arrogant cook.

Can I ask if you think that if Dale (S3) hadn't screwed up the gnocci, he would've won over Hung? I would agree with Tom's assessment in the fact that if Dale hadn't served the worst dish he probably would've won, but that wouldn't've made him the best overall season. Hung was (after Tre).

I loved Tre and stopped watching that season after he was sent home. The judges may claim that they base their decision solely on that one meal but we all know better and its been discussed before that they flip flop on this to suit their own purposes.

Hung couldn't handle the pressure. He may have been a good cook but he just couldn't keep his cool like the top three can (Lisa does not count and is sliding in only because somebody else screws up more each week).

In what ways do the judges based their decisions on the what suits their own purposes? Have previous contestants said as much?

Dales cooking only "Asian" is no different than Marcel/Richard only cooking gastronomy. Every chef has their style and it I think Dale got a bad rap, because his style, is more defined than some of the other cheftestants.
