It's a skydiving challenge, just like Project Runway last week! Except on this show, the CHEFS actually have to jump!

I bet they didn't count on this when they signed up...

Line of the night, from Jennifer J, after Douglas arrives an hour late for refusing to jump AND having immunity:

I was really impressed with Herb at judges' table (saying that he screwed up his time management, but he really had no excuse, given that the other two in the bottom three didn't have any knives and could only use kitchen silverware for prep).

The sous chefs are going to bring another layer to this season, and it's going to be fun to watch.

    No favorites for me yet...

I enjoyed this episode. The skydiving was fun to watch. I compliment those chefs who did it; doubt I'd have the courage to try. I also loved when the real skydivers dropped in right over the table.

No favorites or major dislikes yet either, but I'm sure some will develop. The sous chef battle seems like an interesting twist so far.

    Good first episode.

Lynn and Sang might be my favorites so far.

I was impressed that Bryan made his way up to the top.

Anyone notice that Sang was one of the guest judges on the Hell's Kitchen final last night? I fast forwarded through most of it, but I think he was the first judge, the one who picked the cold appetizer winner, but I might be wrong about that.

Curtis Stone is easy on the eyes, but he makes this show b-o-r-I-n-g!
