I find Paul Rueben slightly repulsive, following his escapades in the theater....don't know anything about the child porn issues so on that, I can't comment.
Everytime I see Paul Rueben, I'm reminded of his arrest and why and that creeps me out.
Paul, do whatever you want to do but do it privately, please.
I try really hard to be open-minded about things. The child porn charges were dropped, so, that's what I'll go on. I can even handle his movie theatre antics (what a dummy for having done that, though!).

What I have the biggest problem with is that "PeeWee" is for children. Public masturbation and children do not go together.

Pee Wee Herman. 1985. Top Chef. 2012. Couldn't come up with anything more relevant? That whole show was awful. Just terrible. They couldn't even come up with a good reason they got rid of Grayson. Chicken breast too big? Compared to weird textured chicken and no seasoning on eggs from two of the top four. Makes no sense.

Pee Wee's in the middle of a comeback. He brought a new stage show to Broadway last year that was a hit, and later it became an HBO special. There are rumors that he'll be in the latest Dancing with the Stars cast. We'll see in a few weeks...

I understand, Jexter, about being open-minded and that's a really positive way of thinking. I'd like to think that I'm open-minded too....at least I try to be. But some things, to me only, have crossed the line.
When you masterbate, particularly for a man (public exposure of genitals) it has to be said that he wanted others to see him. It's a premeditated decision. He knew what he was doing, he knew others would see him, it wasn't an accident and, to me, it was far more than inappropriate. I think it would be totally offensive to everyone...except maybe another perv, just like him. I don't know if there were only adults at the theater, but even adults don't want to see such an act in public.

Jexter, please know that I'm not arguing with you nor being dismissive or critical of you...but just used your post as a way to explain further why he repulses me. Not sure why I feel this way except for moral outrage.

Funny, how Hollywood-types (the Top Chef-TPTB who decided to put him on a show especially since it's a show primarily for adults and the character, Pee Wee, is for kids.) never hold any illegal behavior against any of them. You can be a woman-beater or someone who acts violently to the press, and they never hold them accountable.
Must be some insider loyalty to each other.

This "illegal behavior" took place 20+ years ago in an adult theater, so yes, there were only consenting adults around, probably doing the same thing he was. And as posted above, the "child porn" charges were largely due to the fact that he had a copy of the Rob Lowe sex tape, because one of the girls on the tape was under legal age. I really don't think he is the bad man that people like to believe he is. Funny how Rob Lowe didn't get persecuted as much for actually having sex with a minor...

His Pee Wee Herman act was originally meant for adults when he was a member of the Groundlings. I remember being a little surprised when it became a Saturday morning show, but it actually worked very well in that format, and even won several Emmys. His first movie put Tim Burton on the map, and is still hilarious for me, as is his insane Christmas special. Can you believe he'll turn 60 this August??

I thought the biking part of the challenge was fun. I just wish the food in the challenge was up to Pee Wee's level of whimsy. But they may have been tired, and also creatively spent after the Snow White challenge.

This shot of them looking all serious still makes me laugh for some reason:

He was watching porn in an adult only theater. His behavior there is not uncommon. The child porn was a 16 year old, thought to be of age, not an elementary school child. Just so you know. I am not trying to change your mind, just stating the facts.

I do understand what you, Shoepie, and MFWalkoff are saying. He's not a bad man..he's a normal guy who used poor judgement, for sure. Still, it kind of rupulses me (and all the other guys in the theater). I may have sounded like I wanted to burn him at the stake for his actions but I was just stating what I found to be yucky (for lack of a better description.)
I'm definitely not saying anything about the child porn thing because I didn't even know about it.
And yes, how come Rob Lowe didn't catch as much flak as Paul Reubens? I'm all for equal-opportunity punishment.
Put Rob in that same catagory of not having to be accountable (after a short time) for actions.
