Re: Top Chef 2/1 Show Discussion **Spoilers**

I've been rooting for Paul the last couple of weeks, but the preview has turned my smile upside down. Hopefully, it is one of those misleading previews. Anyway...I couldn't believe Lindsey won, I really thought it would be Paul's to win. I'm sad that Grayson has to fight it out with Beverly and wish that contest could have included Sarah. Will they cut two next week to bring it to the final three?

This has been my first year watching and I'm enjoying - just wish I had smell-o-vision.

What about Paul is turning you off? I think it will come down to him and Lindsey - at which point its either one's game.

That said, Grayson will probably get the Fan Favorite vote. Maybe Lindsay and Sarah will be going home in the coming weeks. I really can't think of any other consolation prizes.
I have to say, I agree with you on this. Why on earth would TPTB want this association?! Even if the charges on the child porn were dropped, still in very bad taste. Boo Bravo.

It was him being shown crying in the preview; but...yes, previews are fickle. I think it might also be down to him and Lindsey.

That was a bum rap -- part of the reason for the charge was that he had a copy of the infamous Rob Lowe sex tape (one of the girls turned out to be under 18). He was railroaded by the city attorney and unfairly branded, and in my opinion people should not judge him based on this incident.

I've read a lot of negative feedback about this episode being gimmicky, but I actually enjoyed it. This hasn't been the best season of Top Chef by far, but there have been some really good moments (the Snow While challenge, Last Chance Kitchen, etc). The food from the Pee Wee challenge wasn't that thrilling, but I laughed out loud during the pancake Quickfire.

I loved that he stayed in the Pee Wee character even at the judging table. Yes, it was a bad rap and it has taken him many years to regain any sort standing in the entertainment community.

The restaurants were most likely pre-approved as they all carried around a map with red dots for location markers, and then a few of them actually tried to use the same kitchen space. What would have happened if they didn't have enough money left from shopping to pay the restaurants (and the B&B) for the supplies of spices and proteins they used?

I wondered exactly the same thing when the different restaurant people started referring to their "bill". Maybe they told them up front how much they had left so they could make sure they didn't go over.

I thought it was hilarious, and in very good humor, when Ed starting cooking for the B&B!

I really like Paul and Ed seems nice as well. However, I was really sorry to see Grayson go. She was definitely the nicest of the girls left. I hope Sarah goes home next.

Hating that Grayson went home. Edward should have gone because of that undercooked chicken. Not fair.

Tom mentioned, on Watch What is Happening, that Grayson's dish was the most unappealing on the table for everyone. It wasn't a close call with Edward. His chicken wasn't undercooked, the method he used created a odd texture. Undercooked chicken would have been an elimination, for sure.

Personally, I have a lot against Paul Rueben...and don't find Pee Wee character to be appealing but that latter part has more to do with my sense of humor.
I find Paul Rueben slightly repulsive, following his escapades in the theater....don't know anything about the child porn issues so on that, I can't comment.
Everytime I see Paul Rueben, I'm reminded of his arrest and why and that creeps me out.
Paul, do whatever you want to do but do it privately, please.
