This Quickfire is taking me back to Hung's Smurf Village.

Carla should have won that Quickfire and the immunity. Though Richard's black ice cream idea was kind of cool. I want some black ice cream.

Consider the judge -- Isaac Mizrahi's comments were totally out of left field. He has no criteria that he works from, he just blurts out what comes to mind.

He's very entertaining, but he's a lousy judge, on whatever show.

He was ridiculous. I'm beginning to believe Tim Gunn's assessment of him. I loved Antonia's reaction to his comments.

Bummer! Mike should have gone. I'm gonna miss Tre...and his guns!

Fabio looked ready to kill someone when Antonia won. Don't kick the turtle when you get home, dude!

I wanted Carla to win too. I actually thought Richard's looked a little s if something had gone bad. But for Carla to actually weave the food together--that was cool. I thought it was funny that it was referred to as handcrafted, because I love handcrafted stuff, so maybe that's why it was so appealing to me.

I think I would have preferred Fabio's dish to Antonia's, but I don't especially like mussels, so I'd be hard pressed not to prefer his.

I do wish Richard would calm down. He's now not only worrying about himself, but Fabio too. I don't remember him being quite this wired before. Maybe Carla needs to teach him to meditate or something.

Is anyone else now officially tired of Anthony Bourdain? I'm sick of his attempts to be wittier than anyone else at the table and his macho guy act. I can handle him once in a while but not as a constant presence. Doesn't he have some deep-fried insects he needs to try somewhere on a distant continent?

Can't they get more of those master chef folks to work a couple of weeks a piece as judges instead?

That is EXACTLY what I thought! I loved his smurf village...one of my favorite Top Chef episodes ever because of that segment, and seeing the other chefs dying laughing at Hung.

I loved this episode too....I could eat pasta every day, and I love Italian food, so I was just drooling over a lot of the courses. Sad that the second course they all messed up so much. I think out of everyone's dishes, I'd probably stuff myself on Fabio's and Carla's. Not so much Antonia's for me-I don't eat shellfish so I wouldn't have eaten her dish.

Richard does seem very nervous this time around. Maybe it was because he was such a heavy favorite to win his season and he shot himself in the foot. I think he's second-guessing every move this time around because he's trying so hard to learn from his mistakes. Plus everyone recognizes him as one of the biggest threats-I think he's feeling the pressure.
