I think you're absolutely right, Krom. She started off so strong that it'd be pretty tough to justify tossing her off now after a couple of missteps. That being said, she'd better straighten up and fly right soon...her earlier performances can carry her only so long...

She's my favorite chef of this bunch. I really liked Padma saying "welcome back" to her.

I got a little choked up when she said that. It was very telling and a nice gesture.

Jennifer very clearly IS over her head. Nevertheless, long term, even with all her screw ups, she probably still is a better chef than Eli.

I don't agree that she's over her head...I'm more inclined to go along with others who have said that she got bogged down when she got sick and just never really recovered. She was doing really well until then.

(But she's definitely a better chef than Eli.)

I was watching some of the old episodes today. Jen was doing REALLY well - for a long time. Kevin didn't start off as strong as he was in later episodes. I think people either burn out or hit their strides. They just respond differently.

Once they are in Final Four, they get to go home for a few months to recharge their batteries. She could be a killer at the finale, or struggle with concept/execution again, who knows.
