BTW, I've never watched the regular Top Chef, probably because I really don't like the hostess lady. Is the regular Top Chef as good as the Masters is? I am really enjoying this show, but it could be that they're all just really great experts and there's not a lot of drama.
Aww, I like Padma! I really enjoy regular Top Chef, but it is definitely different than the Masters version. They are doing the same type of challenges, but there is a lot more drama. You usually end up with people that fall into some general stereotypes: "the egomaniac", "the vegetarian", "the cook with no formal training", "the gastronomy junkie", "the chef who is not here to make friends", etc. You should give it a try, you may like it in spite of the added drama!!

Thanks, Closet. I think everyone on a competition reality show seems to fit into a stereotype.
I think seeing Padma on one of those sexi*t, over the top Carl's Jr. commercials really turned me off, though.

Ah, I can't blame you for that. I didn't like those commercials either! Fortunately I had already decided on my favorable opinion of Padma, so I turned a blind eye to the commercial!!

If I had seen it after I watched the show, I would have probably done the same thing as you. But, now, I just keep getting that image and can't seem to dispel it.
