I can get over the tattoos, the shaved head, the jewelry. What I CAN'T get over are the Vanilla Ice lines shaved into his eyebrows. That's simply unforgivable.

He seemed like a big teddy bear last night, kinda laid back. I hope he gets over the souffle fiasco quickly! Mashed potatoes in a souffle - sheesh!

Yeah, what was up with putting mashed potatoes in a soufflé and then putting a bunch of stuff on top of it?

I was prepared to not like him, but, after watching the season premiere, I was pleasantly surprised and like him. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover...

Same here. He seems to have a little humility and a sense of humor. Those can go a long way...

After watching the 1st episode, he is one of my favorites. His souffle was a bomb--but I feel he'll pull through in the following challenges. I just really liked his personality, and laughed when he said, "I guess they didn't like my nachos" or something like that.

I think the lines in the eyebrow are from problems with eyebrow rings. A lot of people I know have scar lines in their eyebrows from the rings growing out of the skin, or just have a natural scar when they decide to take the bar or ring out.

Also, is it just me, or does it seem like this cast is about 50% working in SF? Not that I mind, it makes it easier for me to find their restaurants after the show and chow down! (Or run away from depending on how they perform... lol)

Based on what I saw on the first show, I like this guy.

I hope he does well and goes far.

Erik is a strong early contender for the most likable cheftestant. I want him to go far so we can see more of what he can do.
