Sorry to ask a question that makes me look ignorant, but what is a "tournant"?

I loved Miguel -- I really wanted to see him (and Stephen) go the distance, but I could see Miguel landing a Food Network gig down the line.

    Miguel

Miguel is a wonderful, friendly person, who loves to cook and make people happy He was there to make "that" point (cooking) and was not there to be attacked by people who really didn't know him..

got this info online, don't know if it is true or not

The relief cook, swing cook, or tournant [tuʀ.nan] - replaces other station heads.....

Hope it helps....I'm still in the dark about it tho....

    Tournant means "turning" in French.

So it would make sense if that means someone who swings in to replace others, or who can take turns throughout the kitchen in different spots.

I can't get Miguel's hissing at Tiffani out of my head at the moment...

So, tournant is a fancy term for multi-tasker? I can dig that!

I realized after the reunion show that "tournant" is French for "flatulent frat boy".

I'd still love to hit the bars with Miguel though....even with the crass action going on.

Ha. I can't believe he actually tooted during the reunion special though, with the judges a couple feet away from him no less - and two other people sharing the small sofa with him. Yuck.
