Top Chef 12/7 Show Discussion **Spoilers**

Another steak challenge, this time at the Cattle Baron's Ball -- who will French that bone with the most skill?

    Enjoy the show!

I'm watching the replay....why is no one making a roux? It's beyond stupid easy.

I'm watching the replay too -- "look it up on their Google machine" is the line of the night for me so far.

At least Ty-Lor (or how ever the hell he spells it) had to actually get stitches and has shown back up. Better than Jaime.

Oooh, "first person I would boot from the island"...nice reality cross-reference.

(And yeah, I know I'm talking to myself...or maybe MFW )

I saw the judges' table from the first airing, and I've already seen Last Chance Kitchen, so I won't spoil it for you.

Hugh Atcheson's speaking voice reminds me of a young, angrier version of Andy Rooney.

    Agreed!

I really do wish they'd get an eyebrow guru for him!

He also reminds me of a younger version of smart-ass Tony Bourdain . . .

Peeling and de-veining shrimp is a "thing" with me. I can NOT stand a shrimp that is improperly peeled and de-veined. I can see how that would take Bev a long time. Her one-note performance otherwise is irritating.

But I do not like Heather, but, alas, she's not on the chopping block. Whitney deserves to go home on crap potatoes. Who can't cook potatoes?!?! My immigrant relatives lived off them for decades, for crissake.

    Darn.
I really wanted to get rid of Heather tonight but alas....no chance.
I'm not fond of Bev...she's just a bundle of neuroses, probably starting with her father still wishing she was a son...but I don't think Heather really needed to attack her about how long it took her to do the shrimp. That had nothing to do with the losing dishes. I really dislike when someone tries to point fingers at others...just a tattle-tail all grown up.
I admired Ty-lor (what a name or should I say choice of spelling?!) for saying he was ready to take the blame if it was the steak that didn't work.
I have a feeling that Hugh really likes his eyebrows and thinks it makes him look different and "edgy." He's wrong.
