What?! Its fake??!! You mean the wind didn't really blow on Natalie when she walked into the room? I thought that happend to all hot chicks.

Its not as fake as I was afraid it was going to be. As long as its not as scrpted as The Restaurant I'm ok. Even if it is as scripted at least they're better actors.

Yes, the show is quite fake. Maybe Tommy wanted to check out how school is like for a few days to decide if he really wants to come back to complete his degree, and I'm sure he has figured out that it ain't worth it and he can't manage it. Five tell-tale signs of fakeness:

    1. Walking up to the Chancellor's office on Day 1, and the Chancellor was actually expecting him! How many of you who attended college met your Chancellor ever?
    2. Driving his car right through campus; parked in front of Chancellor's office. DId you notice that his car was the only one driving; the other cars were in parking lots.
    3. Buying books on chemistry, physics, law, psychology from the bookstore, even though they did not show him register for classes in law or psychology.
    4. Walking into classes apparently in the middle of the semester. That's not allowed in college.
    5. Resemblance between the hot tutor and Pam Anderson!

But the show was great fun; better than Simple Life. Tommy has a warmer personality than Paris Hilton, and appears to be a nice guy, despite his Motley Crue antics and sex tape romp. The "reality" is missing in reality TV, but I'll take it anyday over Big Brother, etc. Good promo for Tommy Lee's solo career (we only know him as a drummer) and for UNL as a party school.

Yeah, right. I tried that, but the cops came and took my binoculars away.

Well, apparently he DID live with Matt Ellis. But it was in a dorm room mock-up off campus. Which might have been a security necessity.

    Tommy Lee' star? His roommate

LINCOLN, Nebraska (AP) -- The T-shirts said it all: "Forget Tommy. I (heart) his roommate."

The star of the show Tuesday night at Iguana's Pub wasn't rocker Tommy Lee or the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus a couple of blocks north.

It was Matt Ellis, who walked up the red carpet as the flashbulbs popped for the TV debut of NBC's "Tommy Lee Goes to College."

Discovered by producers while tending bar at Iguana's, Ellis had roomed with Lee in semi-reality: their dorm room was an off-campus construction.

On Tuesday night, recent grad Ellis served up 50-cent shots of Jack Daniel's -- Lee's favorite -- while on the big-screen TV Lee bought textbooks, signed autographs and met the "hot tutor," Natalie Riedmann, for help with a class that the 42-year-old Motley Crue drummer hadn't really registered for.

Some people inside the college community and out worried the NBC show would portray Nebraskans as hicks.

"But so far it's nothing but positive," said UNL student Kevin Koenig, 22, amid the whoops, hollers and laughs from Iguana's crowd.

"We look better than we maybe really are," said Ellis when he first saw the show's promotional clips.

Student Tim Menke, 30, wasn't crazy about Tuesday night's premiere, but said it was entertaining.

"Seeing your local haunts on TV, it's just kind of cool," he said.

THANK YOU, SnowflakeGirl!! I mean, really-- here's a news flash for ya, people...EVERYTHING on TV is fake! <ducking to avoid whizzing objects> As some others have said, all the so-called "reality" shows are edited to depict what they want you to see...

Tommy's show is good (not necessarily clean) fun. And I for one, LOVE it!

I thought it was entertaining. They could have made it REALLY fake by showing him not needing a tutor, not needing to take notes, not studying, and having no trouble with the drum line. And the drum thing would have been the first thing I would have expected them to edit... so even though they make it appear to be a more normal college experience at least they are not turning it or him into something it is not.
With all the college binge drinking problems I am glad they left most of that out.
Is probably over in the transcribing thread for Big Brother til death do us part.

What were the ratings? Will it be around in 2 weeks?

If you wanted to watch real reality, you'd turn off your tvs and watch people...not so exciting without the editing option is it? Besides lee had to live off campus, it wasn't a choice, it was part of the universities agreement.
Thanks for setting us all straight, JCR.

I kind of liked the show, although I did wonder why he started school in what looks to be October.

Let me ask you this: Is this show faker than 'The Casino'. That was probably the most staged "reality" show ever!
