prhoshay is correct as well, raising your kids is definitely "paying" your share. Though again, I think if Leah worked p/t on weekends, she'd build herself up and feel good.
I'm hoping that Leah will come to a point that she will WANT to work, at least on weekends; I'm hoping she will see the value in that, for her sanity, at least. Right now, she is a newlywed, and the girls are still babies. When they get to school age, that will be a whole different ballgame, I would think. It's good to get out of the house, that's for sure. Personally, I can't imagine staying at home 24/7, at her age.

The only people I have ever seen on Teen Mom who seemed to really have much of a work ethic were Kaitlyn and Cory. (Maybe Jeremy) Most of them always have a good reason to not be working. Even if they had good childcare, I don't think it would matter. Maybe they thought their MTV job was enough, so why bother.

After the first season, none of these girls needed to work anymore because MTV was giving them $. None of them know the value of a dollar so the just assume that they will always have it. Look at the way Amber was living. She was in these giants houses and she was all by her lonesome junkie self.
Girls who make money doing porn to support their families or to go to college to better themselves are one thing. What Farrah is doing it a whole nother story. Shes making a porn to keep her name out there and because she is so delusional about her fame that she thinks its actually worth something.

Dr Drew is garbage. He explotes all these people for his own personal gain. Dont think for one second that hes "doing good". No doctor dealing with recovering addicts would throw them on TV in some half asses rehab and explote it that way. 100% of those 'celebrities' are addicted to being famous just as much as they are the junk they are doing. Putting them on TV just gives them another oppertunity to get back in the spotlight to earn more money and to go back down a dangerous road.

Are they continuing this show after this season? 3 out of the 4 girls are now married, Leah had another baby, Jenelle is pregnant. So much for the message of safe sex and teaching teens that having a baby young is hard.
MTV I think has glorified these girls. RE: that none of them work, so they had to have made enough money from being on the show.

Season 4 is the last season, so they say. I have to admit that I will miss them, and will be curious.

I have mixed emotions regarding giving these girls a salary. In a way, I guess they have to. Who would do the show for no money. The network would profit, but they would get nothing. I can see how it's appropriate to pay them. Yet, we see how that has turned out. I do think that a few of the teens used the income to their advantage and it allowed them to live, go to school, etc. A better way may include MTV putting the money into a trust for the child or parent, not to be touched until the parent is 27 years old and the child is 18 years old. (WITH a BONUS, if they get a college degree before then.)

Everytime I see that little Jace, I just want to pick him up and give him lots of love, attention and understanding. It seems that he yearns for peace and quiet. Why can't they see that?

Little Aubrey seems to yearn for her mom to stop being so emotional and negative. Grow up Chelsea. Your daughter is more emotionally mature than you at age 3.

Leah's twins are not treated equally from what we see on air. They need to give the child who is not special needs more attention. She looks lost.

The way Leah talks to Jeremy makes me ill. That girl is so off. Easy to see where she got it from. When she told her bio dad how hard it was when he left her, his first response was how bad it was for him. Totally selfish. I see what happened.

Isaac seems okay, except it's odd how Kailyn has to keep asking him if he loves Jave. It's as if she wants to keep reminding herself that she does. Stop being so pushy Kailyn. It's obvious that engagement is so off. Poor guy. Unless there is a miracle, you kind of know where this thing is going.

I want them to get that bottle away from Jace. Ridiculous. He's too old.

I love how all of the babies are just talking away....and clearly, too!

She miscarried. I doubted it was true, but it must have been, because her husband pleaded guilty to assault on a pregnant woman.
