My problem with Leah is the way she does it. She says to Corey that if he doesnt, then Jeremy will be their father or something like that. Then she leads him to believe that they are going to work it out and she involves the courts and pretends like she knows nothing about it. I dont get how because her expenses go up, then Corey is required to pay her more. 500$ seems like low amount but who knows what the cost of living is where they are. Leah doesnt seem to be struggling considering she moves from house to house every other week and from what Ive seen, she doesnt work too much.
Im not arguing Child support. Im arguing her timing seems a little strange and her ways of doing things isnt right.

When non-custodial parent's money goes up, their contribution to their baby(-ies) should go up, too, although non-custodials don't usually agree with that.

In most states, there are rules about how you can go back to court and have the child support obligation increased. Normally, it's not just because one party makes more money than they did before. Usually, there has to be an increase in the child's expenses too. Not sure of laws in WV on that. Cory could have been paying informally and volunatarily and then Leah decided to have it go through the courts. That's when the stricter rules kick in. Still, Cory would not have turned down a better deal if he had gotten legal advice, IMO.

Does anyone know how many more episodes there are? I'm anxious to see what that doctor says about Ali.

Good Q Debb70, I was just wondering the same thing...how many more episodes left? Also, TMZ has the scoop on Farrah's "sextape", it was planned and shot at a studio. So, it's porn. Good job Farrah, nice role model for your kid.

I just heard Judge Greg Mathis say, today, that paying "informally" and not going through the court can be deemed to be a gift, and not child support. Better to be put under an order and get credit for what you pay seems like a better idea. Cash is also stupid, but that is in more than just child support situations!

Don't children's expenses increase just by them getting older and the economy? I'd say they do. Children just don't get cheaper to raise than when they started out! And child support is only a drop in the bucket when it comes to raising childen; it costs a lot more than that usual piddly amount to raise a child as the main custodian.

I agree that Cory should pay his share, but so should Leah. She doesn't work and is not contributing except what she brings in from MTV and that is going to her hair, braces, etc.

Doing the lion's share of raising your children IS paying your share; it IS work. At least, that's how I see it. Plus she has a special needs child.

I agree to a point. If Leah and #2 had not bought a house, would she have gone for more child support? When she made the comment that basically if Cory did not pay more, then #2 would be the real father. It is all about Leah and her manipulation.
Maybe if she was shown doing actual activities with the girls I might be more acceptable.

That's a good point captain. Seems to me that Leah has every weekend free, why not get a weekend job. She'd probably feel good about herself and give herself a break while at the same time earning a little money.

prhoshay is correct as well, raising your kids is definitely "paying" your share. Though again, I think if Leah worked p/t on weekends, she'd build herself up and feel good.

I don't see Leah as the working kind. Her job lasted about 2 weeks, right?

She probably made more than most people in her town from her MTV job, however, once that is up, she's screwed. Plus, she may get a check for Aly. Disabled children get a monthly check from the government. I don't know the details, but I know some people with disabled kids and they get around $1,100.00 per month.

I would expect that Cory gets paid by MTV too. He appears as much as Leah.
