| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia Yes honesty. Maybe Amanda should have cleared the air with Cirie way before they got to TC> Just outright tell her that she and Parv' had been allies from day one and she had to stay true to her first allie. Instead we had to witness the whole emotional thing at TC. The jury with their 'rolling eyes'. It was a sad scene that didn't need to happen |

| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia There's a good Amanda interview on ew.com, actually there are interviews with all the Survivor cast offs but I thought Amandas was good. She talks a bit about her strategy, why she chokes at the end and her future plans. She does say that she and Ozzy are together and it's the first time I've heard it said where I actually believe it's true. She said that Ozzy is private and was downplaying the question whenever asked in his own interviews as well as trying not to give away any of the FTC declarations. |

Also Cirie's admitted in her own interviews that she would've never voted for Amanda anyways. That said, Amanda still should've tried and be honest about it. She had a great relationship and she couldn't beat a master manipulator like Cirie. | |

| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia Amandas only chance to win the game was with the three going to final I think. I'm pretty sure she had Ozzy, James and Erik regardless, so Cirie and Parvati might have split the rest of the votes. With Alexis and Natalie for Parv and Eliza for Cirie and Jason as a Wildcard.

She tries to come off as sweet, innocent and honest, but she really isn't. She might not be a vicious as the others, but she's no angel. She was part of that lie to get Jason to give up during that challenge, and was ready to vote him off until Cirie & Parv decided to get rid of Ozzy. She was part of Jason's blindside, and was a main part of Erik's too. She even went a little overboard (IMO) in hammering Erik in the TCs. She did all of that in front of everyone, and then tries to pull that "honesty and integrity" crap. Everyone knew it was BS, they were all there, they saw what she did. She should've owned up to it instead of trying to be the "nice girl". Compare that to Cirie & Parv (and I don't like either one of them), they were playing early and often. They took chances, stuck their necks out, and put their own asses on the line. And, they didn't hide from it. That's the most important part. In China she hid too far behind Todd, letting him take the heat, but he also got the credit even if they were her ideas. This season she hid behind her alliances and the same thing happened. They took the heat, and the credit followed.

| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia I really like Parvati's take on Amanda because according to her Amanda doesn't realize that she's played the game. And even if she wants to own up to those things, she likes to appease people too much. Thats where she lost both times. And I don't think she ripped into Erik any less than Parvati. She is no angel and she said she wasn't looking for any sympathy. I think this is honestly who she is and her not wanting to own up to her strategic moves or her subtle gameplay made her seem pretentious to the jury. She did an excellent job up until the FTC but its always the emotional baggage from the whole game that gets her. She doesn't know how to control her nerves. The fact that she takes what people like say, "Eliza" said to her on face value tells me that she is a bit naive too. |

| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia You say she is no angel. OK let's just say she's not an angel...just sweeter than the other rats ie Parvarti, Nat etc. Compared to the rest she's an angel to me. Your right she's carrying the weight of the whole game on her shoulders and it piles up to the point of breakdown. I would never say she's phony though, Compared to who? Personally all that emotion didn't phase me. Bad timing for sure. It wouldn't have changed my vote. During a long game like that I would have known way ahead of time who was getting my vote. Amanda by winning the last 2 IC's and successfully playing an idol (hard to do apparently hehe) sealed the deal for me. I didn't see Cerie winning anything. For me you have to win something...not just 'rat your way through the whole game. Any other Survivor and all the rats would have been flushed out way before FTC. Parvati would have been gone with the rest of the herd but she got lucky because the fans were so easy to dupe. This particular Survivor was custom made for a rat like Parvati. It was a cake walk! Personally I'm blaming the fans for everything haha. Thanks Joel for single handidly dismantling your entire team's power structure with your fragile male ego. Thanks Jason and Eric for being so extremely naive. Thanks Nat for thinking with your hoo hoo and not your head. (sorry for the mini rant)I knew from the start what Amanda and James were facing. 2 Survivors back to back. Tough task. Just ask the fans' older lady that walked away after a couple of episodes. The game is the culprit. Brings out the greed in just about everyone. ONE Meelin' Dollars (Dr. Evil ref'). The game has shot down our fallen angel Amanda |

| Re: Amanda (China) - Micronesia Lots of great thoughts here and I'd just like to add my 2 cents. I don't think Amanda's game play has been given enough credit either. The fact that their alliance of 5 made it strongly to the mix up speaks volumes for the decision to go with those people. After the mix up her tribe lost many many MANY IC's and yet she (and her alliance mates) made it to the merge. There had to be some strategizing going on to make it that far. Sure you can argue that Cirie or others were doing the thinking, but by allining yourself with these "thinkers"--that's strategy too. It appears that most people want to only respect the post merge game when thinking of jury votes, but I think you should look at the whole game from day 1 and take into account what a person has done to get to the end and how they played the game. Integrity counts big with me, as does honesty and loyalty. Parv ended up on a tribe after the mix up with most of the people who made up the jury. Big advantage for her. |
