Re: Survivor China: Interview with Todd - "I was shocked at how out of it she was."

Sorry to double post but too much time passed to edit. What did Todd mean, do you know, about that implication that while Denise may not make much money her husband does?

Maybe he figured since Frosti was also such a big fan of the show he would vote based on strategy, instead of with his hormones.

Were you surprised that Courtney got more votes than Amanda?

Not at all. I honestly wouldn’t have been surprised if she won after that last tribal council. She was so great with her words that I would have voted for her if I were on the jury. Amanda just butchered it, and Courtney just did great.
This surprises me. She was nothing more than a pawn that was taken to the end by him, and would've been out early if she wasn't part of his alliance. She brought nothing to the game other than a miserable attitude and a vote he could count on.

...hummm.. I never really thought that anyone's sexual persuasion would factor into a survivor statistic...

Great interview! I was a Todd fan from the start and glad to see he stuck to his strategy and won!

Great interview!

It clarified a lot of stuff. I definitely didn't want Todd to win on the show but I can really respect his moves and he definitely convinced the jury he should win. I still feel like Amanda would have won if she didn't bomb, but shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Congrats to Todd.

Terrific interview, hep. Between both the interview and his gameplay, I'm thinking Todd is one of the smarter players in Survivor history.

Really outstanding interview, Hep!

I didn't like Todd too much during the season but this interview changed my mind about him.

I wonder if Denise works at the school to make a little side money and have the same hours as her kids. She may not be as poor as she led us to think, or maybe it's just the insinuation that since you are a lunch lady or janitor, that you are poor. Same idea as with teachers- we all know they don't make gobs of money, but it does not mean they are a thin line away from welfare. I honestly don't know why we believe she is poor- I don't remember hearing her say...
Anyway, I haven't read all of the interviews, but did anyone say how they ended up with all of thier clothing three episodes in?

I'm not sure I would have thought of it, but when someone (sorry, whoever you were, but there are so many threads I'll never track you down) was rejoicing that Hatch was not a fluke, gay men could be good "Survivors" (I think the issue was that the poster was gay and his brother, who was not, was putting down Hatch as a fluke), it made me think about it and realize we are still waiting for our first out lesbian winner. Hey, people have counted up the numbers of ethnic minority winners, and the number of men and women (all data I've forgotten of course), so why not this? Next we can try religion or the number of pharmeceutical sales people vs. waiters and bartenders.
The only way I think it might actually come into play is if the straight men subconsciously dismiss the out gay men as "threats", no matter how good they are at food providing or strategy.
