| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread VelvetRed--hi. I agree with you--the photography is fantastic. Especially the underwater photography this season. Maybe they could run those scenes instaed of more of you-know-who? Their photographers have done a fantastic job this time around. |

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread I actually don't think Russell played a very good game last week. Revealing to everyone he had the idol was risky and foolish in my opinion. I mean everybody knew about it before he could tell everyone about it. Now he is idol-less and the previews for next week show he is coming up to be a target. Granted he can and will manuever around this mess that he made for himself but I don't think he played it very smart last week. I don't know how anyone falls for his schemes anyway since if ANYONE came up to me like he did to Laura I would have seen right through him. And Laura did. |

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread Tonight I saw another ad for tomorrow's show--and it was ALL about RH--again. I think the producers are obsessed with him. Can anyone say "bromance"? |

![]() It seems the photography isn't a big discussion topic, to say the least. But it can save a show. For some reason, TPTB think that most viewers want to see the nastiness and controversial stuff. Maybe they're right. Regarding RH, I think that TPTB recognized (or cast) a "super villain". But IMO, they took it way over the top with screentime. I continue to think that the dropoff in live-watching posters and non-live posts (here on this board) has much to with reactions to RH, and lack of screentime for anyone else. For me, he's in the category of "wish he'd never been on the show". [[And sadly, he's on Allstars, too.]]

![]() I'm not Russell's biggest fan either, but it makes sense that this week's episode focuses on him if the spoilers are right. The previews we saw at the end of last week's show made it clear that he's going to be a target of the Galuans this week. So this is clearly a pivotal moment in the game for him. As for Mick, I agree with paw paw. He isn't being edited as the winner. There have been times in the past where we haven't seen much of the winner in the first few episodes but by episode four or five, we usually start to see more of them. We've hardly seen Mick at all despite the fact that the show has largely been focused on Foa Foa. In addition, the Foa Foa members who have been booted already have consistently said in interviews that Mick didn't do much of anything. He doesn't seem to be employing an under the radar strategy. More like a lack of strategy strategy.

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread Talk of TC being a tie vote and the return of the purple rock ( hence MEMORABLE ) but with 11 people I don't see how?

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread Paulu--At TC if there was a tie they drew rocks--I think Purple was safe? EDIT: My bad, purple was bad. If a tie was reached and wasn't broken in a re-vote, the 2 people with votes were safe and everyone else had to draw rocks 1 purple/ the rest yellow. First used in Marquesas Islands. Threatened to be used in Paulu.

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread Never heard if it. But I wouldn't mind if a rock of any color were heaved at RH. ![]() But does it seem to everyone else that when Jeff says the votes out loud he know who has been eliminated? He does say "I'll go tally the votes." And the votes often end up being read in a cliffhanging fashion. I can't remember anyone talking about this.... |

| Re: Survivor 19: Samoa Spoiler Thread It looks from the previews as if everyone on the island wants to get rid of Russell, so it makes sense to show that. I was just looking at my notes from last week's episode, and it's not the case that Russell was the only person featured. And in the last half of the show, after Laura won immunity, the focus was totally on the other players scrambling to decide how to vote. (I'm still not sure why Shambo voted for Jaison after Dave told her Erik was the intended victim. )As for Mick: it's clear his stategy/non-strategy is to "lay low and say nuttin'", hiding behind Russell's coat-tails. If you recall, he assured Russell last week that the other three on FOA would proceed however he wanted. I agree with Mariner--he isn't going to win, but I do think his course of action may get him nearly to the end. By now they would definitely have shown more of him if he's the eventual victor. But I think his concern coming in was not being too visible or aggressive--that's always the way to get a target painted on you early. He may have just gone too far in the other direction. As for Russell, I think some people may be mistaken in their impressions of place in the game. The truth is, what we've seen of him being 'obnoxious' has been entirely in PI's. To the people on the island, he looks like someone who's scrambling and devious, but not misognynistic. I think it's far more likely that the effort to get him out tonight is because everyone realizes he's a threat to take it all.
