In many ways it can't ever, because one of the highlights to Season 1 seemed to be that only Richard really realized the kind of game they were playing. You can't return to that kind of "strategic innocence".

How true, thats why Richard was the best winner-he had no hours of tape to look at, he was making it up on the fly.

I think by "season 1" they are refering to no Immunity idol, no exile island, maybe no tribe swap?

Exactly. Also, limited food. Let them figure out how to find food.

Exactly, now days if their lazy, survivor "bails" them out with food rewards,ect......... I say if you want to lay around and not do the "work" go hungery. Survivor needs to remain strong and not give in and make them work.

I hope its not guys vs girls...In my opinion that has been over done. As others have stated, three tribes until the merge with no other twists would be the ideal for me

Only once--Vanuata. My problem is that 3 or 4 tribes it seems we don't get as much time to know all the players--it's episode #3 and I'm calling some guy " that blonde white guy" because I can't remember his name.
