I agree - having all the comforts of home wasn't Survivor at all. And I didn't realize until I just read through this thread that the premier is going to be two hours. That's very exciting!

I don't have a favorite as of yet, but have to chose one soon. My sister and I bet on who will win, and have to pay for every challenge "our" person loses. I sure had a great season with Ozzy....at least the first time around.

Sorry for the delay...spent so much time over at BB am just catching up here! I have to stand up for Scout. She may not have been shown much to us, but from the comments from her teammates she was actually central to her her team, psychologically and from a knowledge standpoint--she knew a LOT about camping/roughing it. She just had had a bad knew replacement so couldn't do much physically as it turned out, and she didn't have an abrasive personality, so not much camera time.
The poor older woman this time seems to have been taken by surprise at their departure... not a very practical outfit in the ads. I swear, if I were on Survivor I'd spend ALL my pre-departure time in the clothes I wanted to take to the "island," they'd never get me into fancy impractical duds.

The problem with the people who think they know everything about the outdoor life is that they hardly ever make it to the end . LOL

SurvivorFever has a potential spoiler up. They have a screen shot from the TV Guide preview from the Kota (yellow tribe) camp and it shows the II behind two of the contestants. They say it's from the first challenge. If that's the case, then the first boot would be either Crystle, Dan, Randy (if he survives the first boot with a bio like that I'll be shocked), Danny, Gillian, Ken, Matty, Michelle, or Susie.

Well, bye Michelle or Susie. Nice knowin' ya. Of course Randy will survive the first boot, because the tribe will see him as a male asset. Gillian, though "old", may charm her way out of the first boot too, providing her tribe's camp with outdoor skills they need since she lives in Africa already. Jeff Probst said Ken is a favorite, therefore, though skinny he is, I'm sure he sticks around a bit longer. Probst also said we will grow to adore Matty too, therefore, he can't be the first boot. I bet Danny is the leader. So, bye Michelle or Susie. Probably Michelle, since she's a little young chick. Dang, she was my pre-season favorite!

Also, with Ken and Matty on this tribe, the Good vs Evil theme will probably have this losing tribe has the "good" tribe.

Also, Gillian's a nurse. Unless they are nuts they should see that as an asset worth preserving for those minor injuries and rashes that the medical crew doesn't come in and deal with... still flashing on Cirie having to examine a male tribemate's "rash"....
ETA...of the two you mention one is a triathaoner and the other's only outdoor skill is gardening. Unless there's a big personality dif. with one being more abrasive I'm guessing the gardener is gone...too bad...this was her big leap to do something for herself.
