Would anyone else like to see an Arctic Survivor?

i wouldent mind seeing the show set somwhere besides a jungle or tropical island. the kamchatka peninsula in russia or baffin island in canada would be nice sites for future filmings of this show, and summers up there last just long enough for the show to be fully filmed. it would be nice seeing contestants actually confronted with having to travel a little further than the local fruit trees or the beach for food, maybe learing how to row an eskimo kayak or harpoon seals, maybe as a reward in a challenge they get a local inuit hunter to show them how to catch seals/geese/fish/ect.

i just wish CBS would grow a pair and not worry about the much feared ratings drop because theres no "hot chicks in bikinis" on the season and do this....

Unless it was done when it was still warm there, it would be awful. It would be just like Africa, but instead of people sitting around doing nothing because it was too hot, they'd be sitting around the fire doing nothing because it is too cold.

An Arctic Survivor doesn't seem likely, maybe we can start a thread about locations that you like for the next Survivor?

There's simply no way CBS or Mark Burnett or probably even the Canadian or Russian governments would allow seal hunting on TV.

The place I'd like to see is Vancouver Island. Or Neah Bay in Washington (upper NW corner of the country/state). Remote spots with plenty of wildlife and food. And no poisonous creatures.

Enough of the tropics and the rainstorms. Give us a nice Pacific Northwest summer Survivor.

As well as a multitude of places citing a quote from Mark Burnett that he doesn't think that fans want that:

Look here: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivo...rk_chat2.shtml

Search for the world "cold" or look for the question by Honest_Ang.

if they absolutely cant do a survivor in the arctic ( which i think they definatly can) survivor sahara or survivor gobi would be a good second option

maybe not, i guess they could barter with inuits for seal/whale meat then. or win some in a reward challenge, there isnt much to eat up there besides meat of one kind or another (id have huge respect for any survivor who is vegan/vegetarian and who could actually last long enough on a season like this to win)

eh, we're discussing it right now and ive been on a lot of messageboards/forums where tons of people think a cold weather survivor would be a great thing.
