| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next I would love to see a desert season as well as a cold season. I've been saying there should be a cold season since the 1st season. I'm getting a little bored with the island/rainforest idea. That's party why I enjoyed Outback and Africa because it was different scenery. Also, Africa was cool because of the lion/danger factor. I think they should get rid of HII. Especially after this season's HII debaucle. I got annoyed with them adding it back everytime. Once it's gone, it should be gone. I also think they should get rid of Veto on BB but I digress...

Yeah, I wasn't crazy about the couples thing on BB...especially the hidden part. I think stranger/couples here might work, but at least try it straight once before you mix it up with ones that know each other! And all ones that know each other is too TAR. I agree a desert is a different scenery, on the other hand, if you recall Africa, it got to be pretty grim scenery. And no matter how many of us want a cold climate the bare chest and bikini watchers don't! ![]()

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next The main problem with the first Africa, from what I read, was that there was a threat of wildlife in the area that the contestants really couldn't venture too far from their camps. I loved the first Africa season, even if I'm in the minority with that one, and loved the location but maybe they could find a desert backdrop where the contestants are more free to roam around. And please, no twists like they do on BB! 16/18/20 strangers is just fine. I cringe every season they might take that leap and we'll get some family members reuniting after being estranged, or some brother and sister never knowing the other existed, or twins playing the game as one. Although having two tribes of bitter enemies might be fun to watch ![]() |

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next A good season is one where alliances aren't too solid. Lots of backstabbery and shifting loyalties. Which is what made the last season so good, and old series like Pearl Islands so great. When people pick their partners and stick with it, you get Cook Islands. So, you need the odd mixup, you need instances where people from both tribes interact a bit... the 2 people going to Exile is helps. I'd even like the 2 tribes to be situated fairly close to each other, allowing people to visit the enemy now and again, maybe spy on each other, or quietly meet for conspiracy.

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next What I'd like to see would be ad hoc tribes - have everyone live on one camp right from the start, form them up randomly for for each reward/immunity challenge. You'd probably see relatively solid, but small (2-3 person) alliances. That would be different from anything they've done this year. |

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next On the finnish Robinson they played an individual game in the beginning. After three people were out they went to two tribes. The current immunity holder had to choose which tribe she wanted to go into. After that the game went like the regular seasons do |

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next What would I like in survivor? How about surviving? Go back to being tough. You get a knife, pot and a bag of rice. Hungery for more than rice? Go caught fish, crabs, get coconuts. James lost 50 lbs in Chinas, only 9 lbs in Micronesia Thristy? build a fire and boil some water. Going to rain? build a shelter. Crazy the fan tribe had no shelter till James re did theirs at the merge! This IS survivor, if you can't make a fire, drag some firewood back to camp,ect.... you should try out for BB instead.

| Re: Ideas for my dream Survivor season... what I think they should try next James did say that there was a lot more food and water sources on Micronesia compared to China, and I'm guessing it's the same way for all the island vs landlocked locations. Big Tom lost 80 lbs in the first Africa. I'd like to see them scale back on the rewards, and no more of those spa rewards. Remember when winning one chocolate bar was a big deal? Now it's like they get a lifetime supply. |

Tribes vote their strongest players out in episode #2 to " keep them from dominating after the merge", tribes then go hungery because everyone is to lazy to get food, their shelter is crap,ect..... So what does survivor do now? let them pay for their mistake? No, every reward after that is food, tarps, ect........... Remember Australia when they ate up all their rice? Survivor gave them some rice BUT took their shelter away as punishment!!!!!

I actually thought that was a pretty funny moment. Jeff didn't look too happy and I loved his comment "I don't think your gonna make it". The downside to downsizing on everything is it could backfire where you have people quitting because they can't hack it without a good supply of food and water, or people who just lay around and are even more lazy and weak because they don't have the ambition/strength/sources to go out and get food and water. I'm not a fan of the strategy 'vote the strong off first and get a bunch of weaklings that'll follow your every word and vote in your alliance'. Last season was so great and it's hard to be the season to follow it. Basically I loved the gameplay and strategy that came into last season and I hope we see more of that.
