The word of the day is a Hero word; protection. Protecting people from bad stuff is a pretty standard thing for heroes to do, but the big question is, what's reasonable to ask in return? That question can determine the difference between a hero and a villain - demand too much, and it's not protection, but a protection racket. We sat Cole and JP both toe that line with their demands for more food in order to protect their tribe from losing challenges.

boy oh boy, I am so mad at myself for putting Cole before Ben!! Cole has turned out to be such a bad choice and Ben is still wonderful. Stick with first choice I learned this time on my pool! Helen

It's pool time once again! The word of the week is a hustler word: Marooning. As we've seen in past seasons, the marooning presents an interesting dilemma about how much stuff is the right amount to take. Too little, and your tribe won't have the resources to keep up with the others. Too much, and you're weighed down, and miss out on the major advantage waiting onshore. We saw the same thing with the tribes entering the merge - the healers' apparent numbers advantage actually worked against them, while the Hustlers earned trust by seeming unthreatening. It didn't help that the Healers had Joe as their ringleader - a very much "acquired taste" sort of person.

A lot of backwards movement this week, because only 4 contestants had any score this week, and the two popular ones both scored negatively.

Ouch! Losing my Captain was terrible for my score & ranking.

Now does my top person become Captain or do I pick any of the 5 for Captain? TIA!

Your highest person thatís still alive (looks like Chrissy for you) automatically becomes your new captain

I didn't even realize Desi was on my team when she won immunity. Yay, Desi!

Of course the only two players to get votes were on my team, and now I'm behind RiNGO So now Lauren steps up, I'm kicking myself for not putting Jessica much lower, but she did live up for to my prediction last week that she'd earn me points simply by being on a winning tribe at least. Lauren is a fairly strong player in her own right, so she might do some good. Probably time to accept that the gap has gotten too big for me to fill though, especially if weekly scores are this low going forward. Shoulda made Dr. Mike or Devon my captain...only way I'm getting double points from Ryan is if he finds an idol, advantage, or gets picked to go on a reward
