I'm thrilled that's he's staying - but how ironic that the rumors float for this whole installment, and then he announces that he's staying just days before the current finale!

Just to clarify: season 12 is already in the can and CBS has picked up season 13 & 14, so we'll see Jeff for at least 3 more seasons. 5 more, if CBS picks up seasons 15 & 16 which Probst is now contracted for.

See You in September
To be honest money had to play a really big issue.
I think he got paid in the eight to nine figures to stay.
Because there is only one Survivor host.
Meaning only one Jeff Probst!

Eight or nine figures? That'd be tens or hundred of millions of dollars, I'd think he got high 6/low 7 figures.

Big Blue - Tayshaun!
Yeah, I would think he gets 1-2 million per Survivor season which is pretty good considering it's basically a free vacation besides holding tribal counsils and challenges.

What's a sitcom?
1 million a season isn't that great. Especially when your divide that by 14-15 episodes.
Most sitcom/drama stars make more than that an episode. Especially top ten shows, where they can make 1 million an episode.

Maybe the Friends cast, I don't know any other cast that makes 1 mil an episode. Another thing is their "season" lasts 6 months or so whereas Probst works for maybe a month and a half (max 2) per season.
