    Russell Hantz - Redemption Island

    Russell Hantz (38)
    Current Residence: Dayton, Texas
Previous Seasons: "Survivor: Samoa" and "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains"

Russell Hantz was a first time castaway only 2 years ago, but has quickly become one of the most notorious villains to every play Survivor. He returns to SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND more prepared than ever before. "I'm ready for this. I'm more ready for this than I ever have been."

As a self-made millionaire who built his business by working hard, speaking his mind and stepping on anyone who got in his way, Russell will do anything to win the game of Survivor. He is known for back-stabbing his allies, lying and cheating, but he is proud of his title as a villain. "The image that I have as a villain, that’s fine with me because this is how I play the game." Only time will tell if this strategy will pay off or if once again he will come up short.

What does he think of SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND? "It's gonna be history. Survivor history!"

Indeed. Ressell's presence in this game will definitely make up for the BS last season offered us.

Now predicting that this will be the longest contestant thread this season.

I can deal with Russell, at least he does bring the controversy/entertainment, depending on how you look at him. I just hope this doesn't become the Russell Hantz Show - there might be other fun to watch players in the cast that I haven't seen three times.

Of course it will be, because I expect TPTB to again make it the Russell Hantz show and ignore the large majority of new cast members in order to give RH lots of face time at the expense of all the others.

I am not happy to see Russell back for a third time. I am not a fan of his, and I have grown weary of all his antics. I just don't get it.

So ......... does anybody know 'how' many millions it is that Russell has?, because it sounds like he may be losing 5 of them.

per the cbs contract, any show contestant who leaks information about the show is subject to paying 5 million in damages.

Russell has been named the leak by a blogger who was regularly revealing spoilers about the show. The blogger said that once met Russell in person, all he had to do was pick up the phone and call him and he'd be told a spoiler. cbs has also been sent a copy of an email sent by russell to the blogger revealing an incident from the show.

Looks like russell is in big doo doo with Mark Burnett and cbs ..........

Why would be do something so darn foolish ? just out of arrogance?

Just my guess, but I think that Russell feels like he is so superior to everyone else that he doesn't have to play by the rules.

So not happy he is back. How many times does he want to try, and now he does not have the advantage he had in the villians v heros season where the other players had not seen his season so didnt know what he was like, this lot should know and will either get rid of him early or he will end up in third place with no votes yet again. His style of play will never win him fans on the jury, he refuses to recognise the social aspect of the game is just as if not more important that manipulation.
I know I will watch but it is going to just annoy me all over again
