I dont think anyone, including myself, was offended by the religious tilt some cast members bring to their prospective game. Boston Rob certainly never said he was offended, he made a joke about, I thought it was a funny comment. I cant be offended by something I dont believe exists.

With that said..... GOD DOESN'T CARE WHO WINS REALITY SHOWS!! With all the issues in this world, the outcome of a reality show & a bunch of fame-whores is not even on His radar. I wish contestants would realize that.

I completely agree with everything you said here!

Just an observation here and not about what you were saying, but I think it's ridiculous for anyone to be "offended" by Matt's repeated references to his belief in God. You can like it or not like it, but taking "offense" is a bit presumptuous to me. What difference does it make to anyone what he believes. I consider religious beliefs to be private and personal but I'm not the Queen of Anything, so to each his own.

Good point. I used the word offended in a post but that word didn't fit my reaction. Boring and slight irritation works.

As someone who had a good Episcopalian upbringing though, I do find it offensive that Matt so clearly blindsided Andrea when fessed up all their plotting ideas to Rob after telling her it was just between them--without consulting or warning her at all, judging by her face and her later interview. What, his word to her counts for nothing? If his conscience is botheriing him he should have the ethics to let her know what is happening. Follow what you think your god wants you to do, fine, but don't break your word to your only friend first.
That's assuming that we weren't totally deceived by the editing of course! Definitely questions to be asked when either Andrea or Matt gets permanently booted!

This is my opinion. Being a good Christian doesn't have to mean being a doormat for those who aren't. There's nothing wrong with keeping things to yourself and having a strategy and playing a proper game. Is a Christian basketball player who makes a feint a cheat? A Christian hockey player who dekes his opponent guilty of deceit? A Christian boxer performing a rope-a-dope a con artist? Nope.

Aw Matty, God love ya, you're just not that bright, now are ya? If you're not cut out for this game, don't lay it all at the feet of a very weary Jesus.

I have to say that Matt's whole struggle with his religious values vs. playing the game reminded me of Brandon and Nicole from Season 5 of "The Amazing Race." They were both models and both WAY over-the-top Christians.

They were nearly eliminated when they got a roadblock which required them to shave off all their hair. As they were models, they declined saying it would ruin their careers. They also said that "Jesus was testing their faith" and ability to stay in the race.

Hmm. Seems this open to interpretation. If I saw any testing of faith going on, it would be to give up their outrageous vanity (one of the seven deadlies, by the way), shave their heads, and understand that their stupid hair would grow back.

Likewise, with Matt: God or Jesus or whomever gave him tools to win this this thing. Yeh, they aren't the most scrupulous tools on the planet, but let's remember: this is a game and not real life. I don't think anyone - especially God - would have thought less of him for exacting a little revenge. Sometimes revenge can result in justice, after all.

Offended is not the emotion most atheists or agnostics dredge up at these over-the-top reality show bible thumpers. And let's just leave it at that.

I am neigher agnostic or atheist. I have spiritual beliefs, plenty of them. I keep them to myself or talk to like minded people about them.

Just keep it to yourself Matt, it bores and irritates others to hear relgious or spiritual beliefs constantly voiced.
