    Hi.

I did think Brian deserved to win, for he played such a terrific game and was able to carefully plan each step ahead of him. But luck played some important factors too. If the merge did happen in Episode 7, could Brian still manage to pull it all off? Couldn't Shii Ann, another strategist, see through a scheme and take Brian down? Or perhaps if Jan was able to see outside of the box, could Brian possibly win?

But he did overcome all obstacles, although there were few...and yes, his victory was a well deserved one. Even if he seems a bit cold to me.

I thought Brian deserved to win as well. I agree with pretty much all the comments about him in this thread.

I would also like to say that I don't think he is as good a writer as most of the folks on the staff here. You guys rock!

Sure, Brian played well...so I guess he deserves the cash. But as a human being? Does he deserve to live? JK...but I really do hate this guy.

I agree! But it was either him or Clay, what an awful F2! I didn't want Clay to win cuz he was an arrogant sexist pig. He didn't deserve to win. Brian was the lesser of 2 evils, but what can you really expect out of a used car salesman?

Brian had a bunch of luck going for him in my opinion. 1. he had Jan on his team - couldn't play the game if her million depended on it. 2. he had an alliance with everyone and Jan to help him vote off the ones he didn't need anymore 3. Helen-who could never take the advice of her husband cause she was the man in the family and 4. Clay...who would vote for him?

Brian Heidik -- Playing to win!

So being a used car salesman automatically marks you as a lesser human being, is that it?

Brian played the game well. It's all about strategy and telling people what they wanted to hear. That's how Will won the million dollars on Big Brother 2 and everybody loved him. In the same way Brian told us, the viewers, just how he was playing to outwit, outlast and outplay everyone and it was just a whole lot of fun to see.

Just my opinion. It is a lot of luck--if you go into the merge with the so-called "allies" on your side, you have a better chance of winning. Or you don't have to do a "coconut chop" to stay in the game. you have a better chance.

Well put..... it really WAS neat to see. I could just imagine him analyzing every season of Survivor before he himself went out. He really was a pro and made the show very interesting. It was as if he was teaching a class on how to win Survivor and we, the audience, were his pupils. It shows that a smart player with his head in the game from the start can make things go for him. I also agree with previous posters that he was better than Richard Hatch because the Season 1 folks didn't really know what to expect. Brian's group knew what was what and even tried some things of their own, but he STILL owned them until the end. Very impressive, well played, and well deserved.

BUT he never had to experience the "chop down your competiter" chalenge that can un-do all your hard work. The one where you have absolutely no control over the outcome.
