Woo woo...got to cheer for the fellow 'sconnie (although she'll probably turn out to be nerdy, as per most wisconsites that make onto national t.v.).
The hairdo...a classic example of what my sister and I used to call "Wisconsin bangs."

That is a shame about her son.

I like what I read of/about her so far.

Oh yeah! So true... they could be "Michigan bangs" as well.

Big hair is awesome! Very sexy!

Yeah, that is horrible about losing her only son. It is still going to probably be too soon for her in some ways. I just hope that they don't cheesily try to exploit it like they did in the Amazing Race, and just let things be what they are. Doubtful with that slimeball MB, but we can hope.

I think it's just awful that she would go ahead and do a TV show directly after losing her only child. But I'll try to keep an open mind about her.

OK, ignore my previous post. I missed the "Guatemala" part, and thought she went ahead and participated in Survivor a week after the death. Many apologies.

i'm going to have to root for tina, since she's from my neck of the woods. i went to one of the lumberjack shows in hayward a couple of summers ago. i have to admitt i found it very boring and left early to go float on the lake. i see those bangs everywhere, not just wisconsin. i call them 1989 hair. go tina!!!

The bangs and hair could also be called "love handles"...
ETA:I think she could do good...she definately has the sympathy vote!

Ow. Hayward is about 60 miles from my hometown. Please, Tina, don't be embarassing!

I don't understand how anyone keeps going after losing a kid. I don't have any, but it just seems like it would be impossible. Very sad.

On first glance I didn't think Tina would have a chance of going very far, but after reading her bio, I think she'll prove to be very strong and will be able to compete with the best of them. I like her so far, but am sad to read about her son
