I saw her on The Early Show this morning, she came off as very sweet, and it didn't seem like an act. I thought it was a pretty lame interview though.

She said that she was much sicker than they actually showed. She couldn't keep anything down, and it took a few days to settle her stomach.

    They didn't mention her dad.

She said she liked Ken, said he was sweet, like a big brother.

    She didn't put anyone down.

It's a shame. Seeing as how she went to college on a track scolarship, she might've been a great competetor.

wow. her father died while she away for the show. i can't even imagine. that would be simply awful. awful.

and paulie, i agree. she was pretty. when they did close ups of her lying on the ground... she has the most gorgeous eyes.

however, i couldn't stand her accent. bugged me as much as julie from real world one.

I'm gonna miss her. She was my pre-air favorite.

100% agreement, Sher. Those eyes were mesmerizing, but her accent has got to go. I think accents disappear, though, when you're moaning, which is pretty much how we'd be "talking" most of the time.

Did I say that out loud?

    :rolleyes Paulie............

Tanya's story from her local paper,

By the time the tribe had spoken, Tanya was secretly relieved.

It was her past experience as an athlete that inspired her to audition for the show, as well as survive the six days she did under such dire circumstances. Her island adventure was further doomed by the fact that her father was killed in an area car accident following her being voted off the island on day 6 of the filming.

“I was still in Thailand just traveling around as a tourist when I received the bad news about my father,” Vance said.
“It was a very traumatic time for me, but I have very good memories of him, and we parted on good terms. Even though I never got to see him again, I know he was proud of me for trying. My parents threw me a big party before I left.”

I'm glad she made peace with the fact she was gone when he died.

I am too. I hope she doesn't carry any guilt. Sounds like he died very proud of her, and after just 2 episodes, I can understand why.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

She was on Caroline Rhea about an hour ago. She seems like a very nice person. But, she said she only threw up 6 or 7 times while she was there, so that means the camera got almost all of 'em.

And Caroline didn't bring up her father at all, which I thought was a little odd.

It may of been a case of Tanya not wanting to talk about her dad.

    Paulie............
Of course I meant that we'd be repulsed by one another and throwing up all the time like she did on the show. Perhaps I wasn't clear?

*sigh* Just saw videos of her Early Show and Caroline Rhea appearances. All I can say is I wish she'd drank more water.
