Born and raised in Revere, Massachusetts, Amy graduated from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. She is currently a Sergeant Detective in the Major Crimes Unit of the Revere Police Department. She is the first female sergeant in the history of the Revere Police Department, and she loves her job.
Having once played professional football, O’Hara remains physically active and likes to participate in anything competitive, including golf, softball, and basketball. Additionally, she regularly trains with weights. In her spare time, she enjoys reading magazines, listening to music, and dancing.
O’Hara’s primary motivation for being on Survivor is to have the experience of a lifetime. She believes her greatest asset to the tribe will be motivating people to do things that they wouldn’t normally do. Though she knows she has leadership abilities, she is sure she can work well as a member of a team, if that is what it will take to get along with others and get ahead in the game. She believes she has a good chance of becoming Sole Survivor because she knows ho to persuade people and has great instincts.
Her perfect day would be playing in a game of the Women’s Softball National Championships, winning, then having drinks with her husband and her teammates. As a die-hard Red Sox fan, her dream is to throw the first pitch at a game.
O’Hara has been married to Frank Shea for 10 years and has two cats, Fatima and Scrappy. Her birth date is November 2, 1965.

Female version of Tom? First female Sargent in the history of the Revere police department, though. Great accomplishment.
Hmmmm......she likes the Red Sox and the Patriots, but not the Bruins? Gonna have to give her the thumbs down just for that. :down
I can see her mind is in the right place, she likes the sox and the pats.
And shes a MA girl. Its proven we do well. By we I mean MA people... not just the female. :up
I'm thinking an abrasive personality gets her booted not too long into the game. If she's still there after the first week or so, she'll have already surprised me.
I'll be cheering her on for the sole purpose that she's from MA!! :D
Make it far and her dream might come true.

I have a feeling it might even if she is the second one out. Hey, look at that; second out is exactly where I think she'll end up.

Her favorite book is also one of my faves, so I'll like her on that alone for now :up She looks nice, I could see her lasting long into the game (or not fitting in and being too bossy thus getting booted by episode 3). Her background as a cop may help her, though (or hurt her if she's tries to take the leader role).
