Intertops.com Survives the Rumor Mill and Offers Odds on Survivor All-Stars!

ST JOHNS, Antigua, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Once again Intertops.com, the first online sports book to offer odds on Survivor, shrugs off the threat of rumors spoiling the betting on the CBS reality TV show, Survivor All Stars, and announces it's odds.

Scheduled to premiere after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1, 2004, CBS has brought back the most memorable contestants to battle it out for a prize of $1 million and the title of the "Ultimate Sole Survivor". It's guaranteed to be compulsive viewing and CBS is refusing to announce the line- up at present time but the spoilers have speculated and their list has been released on the Internet. The last episode of the show, Survivor Pearl Islands Panama, was surrounded by controversy and many online sports books pulled their betting offers, but now, just as before, Intertops.com is publishing it's odds.

"Intertops.com knew all along that Sandra would win Survivor Pearl Islands, so we offered odds without Sandra throughout the entire season including live betting on the season finale," said Intertops.com Chief Bet manager Michael Maerz. "At Intertops.com we do not shy away from offering odds on Survivor despite the rumors and some results which are known in advance."

"We were the very first sports book to offer odds on Survivor and are the first to offer odds on Survivor All-Stars. We want to give our customers some extra action after the Super Bowl and this particular show has always been a very popular betting option," he added. "With the most controversial and entertaining characters returning, it will be a very exciting show."
Survivor All-Stars: Who will survive longer?
    Rupert Boneham -130
    Richard Hatch -110

Survivor All-Stars: Which tribe will the winner emerge from?
    Blue Tribe +125
    Green Tribe +150
    Red Tribe +175

Survivor All-Stars: Will the Winner be Male or Female?
    Male -130
    Female -110

Elixir, if a number has a - sign in front of it, you must bet that amount to win $100. For example, Rupert is -130, meaning if you bet $130, and he outlasted Richard, you would win $230 back (your original $130 plus $100).

If a number has a + sign in front of it, you would wager $100 to win that amount. For example above, the Green tribe is listed at +150, so if you bet $100 on them, and they won, you would win $250 ($150 plus your original $100).

Where there's a - sign, the higher numbers are better odds, and where there's a + sign, the lower numbers are better odds.

Thanks for explaining John. I'm always confused by what all this "betting odds" stuff means. Then again I'm only 12............
